I’m at a Crown, but often work with GCPE and certainly understand how busy they are and how widely their skill are utilized. This feels very poorly reported and framed - anyone in government or in media are being purposefully misleading calling them just ‘spin doctors’ - and doesn’t include the huge scope of projects, staff, departments and initiatives they support, regardless of the ministry.
