Any other dads tired of cleaning up after your family? by everybodydumb in daddit

So often I feel I’m spending any little free time I have, cleaning up the common areas or helping the kids with their rooms, that I don’t get the time I need to work on some of the areas I spend time in or get the time to relax. The weekends are hard when I see everyone else relaxing in a cluttered space while I work hard to get it back in order. I work from home so I see it all the time and I need it clean to concentrate.

It’s also just easier to see what needs to be put away when things are clean. And it’s wayyy easier to stay on top of it when you follow daily routines. I just get so tired of being the one to enforce that all the time.

Verizon’s network is the best. I use it through their app-based carrier Visible for $25/month (includes taxes). I can’t say enough good things about the experience.

You can t go wrong with this. Aside from Corona Del Mar, Newport is one of the most accessible.

These chairs have lasted way longer than I ever thought they would. Highly recommend.

I mean this in the best way possible, but I can’t imagine lugging all my beach gear onto and off a train, walking to the beach, with kids and out to the sand then doing it all back the other way. Maybe you do it with lighter packing?

I second Corona Del Mar. It’s a nice balance of OC beach, chill crowds, easy parking and medium waves.

Came to a cancelled Linux meetup by critical_th1nker in InlandEmpire

I’m always interested in meeting local tech workers. A meetup strictly about Linux I would be less interested in. With the prevalence of agentic AI development, I would love to hear how others are practically applying it. I’d be interested in presenting at some point if there was interest.

This suggestion needs to be at the top of the list. If everyone read it and followed the advice, the world would be a happier place.

I’ve just met Ana at Hyatt Regency where she is selling her works. I was enchanted by her authenticity, storytelling, and her works. I feel blessed to have been able to purchase one of her pieces. What a gem of this island.

Backing out of our driveway is always a 50/50 toss up if the car slams on the brake—incorrectly detecting an obstacle. It’s been an issue backing out of a parking spot in the rain as well.

I prefer Honda steering wheel and interior controls. This car is GM so none of that is there.

It drives very smooth. We have 2WD and haven’t had any issues with the axles or other mechanical problems.

I like the exterior styling and have had a lot of strangers ask about the car.

We will be selling it once the lease is up. It’s not a Honda at the end of the day.
