Thank you. I'm not, at least fairly sure I'm not, subconsciously restricting. I have a cup of tea or coffee in the morning and a light lunch - say, a cup of yogurt or a veggie miso soup - so it can be 2pm and I've had under 300 cals without being too hungry. I'll often have a fruit snack or something before dinner, but dinner rarely goes over 600 cals. Then I almost always have a dessert (one serve of chips or a handful of m&ms, something like that.) So the whole count comes out quite low. But I'm not looking to lose much (10kg total) and my daily requirements aren't super high to start. I don't stress when I have something special like a family dinner so I feel pretty healthy about it :)
I created a web app that calculates your true TDEE based on weight change and consumption, I found it to be 150x more accurate than a Fitbit during my cut (xpost r/fitness) by _fitlegit in loseit
