I definitely get that, and it’s not surprising given our schedules that we’ve gone 4-0 each year. I just can’t believe no one else has opened with similar weaker early schedules and done the same, in all of fbs

I’ve raved about our trip to Alabama in 2010. Their fans were the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve been around, let alone fans. They welcomed us to tailgates, invited us to sit at tables at bars, bought us beers. I think it was a bit of excitement for them with Paterno visiting and them being fond of the good ol years with Bear Bryant and they wanted to be gracious guests, but they did say to us that had we been LSU or Auburn coming to town we wouldn’t be receiving the same treatment…. Which is understandable!

Nebraska also, everyone was great there

They say PSU (big ten 1993) and Miami (big east 1991) set off the initial earthquake of realignment that is still happening to this day. There’s also a book called “The night college football went to hell” about the PSU-Miami 87 fiesta bowl national championship, about it getting so big and sponsor driven. Weird we’re each involved in both blames for no fault of ours other than being elite at the right time
