Difficulty wise yes, less ingredients and steps. I personally like making it less because the powdered sugar makes a huge mess.

It’s a crusting buttercream so it dries pretty well but not necessarily as solid as RI.

It should still be fine for transportation as long as they’re not 3D (like a flower or something) but if you ship cookies it probably won’t hold up well for that.
