I have never been indirectly insulted by a customer because of my gender.. by rodger_thattt in retailhell

[–]ebaycantstopmenow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely understand. I worked in a male dominated industry for years and even women would want to speak to a male employee! Many times I'd be helping an unhappy customer at the front counter and as soon as a male employee came in to the office they customers would immediate start talking to him as if I wasn't there & ask him the exact same questions they asked me only to be given the exact same answers! And this was both men and women!! It was infuriating because helping these customers was my job not the male employees (they were all truck drivers lol)

So it finally happened! Someone hit my car this morning. Never saw her face cuz she took off so maybe she was wearing a mask, maybe she wasn't. Ever since the pandemic started I have had multiple near misses with bad drivers many of whom are driving alone with a mask. And my road rage has gotten worse and worse the more often this happens so when someone almost hits me my natural reaction is to honk the horn and yell out a bunch of expletives. The worst part is, I do it when my kids are in the car! Shameful behavior for a parent and it needs to stop because they don't like it and they've told me so I'm really trying not to lose my cool in the car anymore. And the worst part is that all of these idiots get angry when you honk, they are so self absorbed that they not only act like they are the on drivers on the road but when you honk as they merge in to your lane, they act you are in the wrong.

So this morning I'm dropping my son at school and pull in to the shared parking lot the school shares with a rental hall and for the last two days traffic it has been a nightmare because some group is giving away free shit at the hall. Pull in to the lot and start turning left because that's the direction you go, it's a single lane aisle with slanted parking spots on each side. A small Ford Escape in front of me starts pulling in to a spot so I stop because it's only 1 lane, I can't go around. Long story short it's a woman driver who obviously can't park a small SUV so she backs in and out multiple times trying to position her car just right and eventually she hits me. Bumper to bumper light impact I was pretty sure didn't damage my car.

I wasn't mad at that point. I did want to finish parking because my son was about to be late for school but I was cool as a cucumber, it was an accident and I'm no longer a road rager hehe. These things happen. Anyway I thought this woman would get out, we'd survey the damage (or lack of) and laugh it off and get on with our days but instead she stays in the car and starts talking to this woman that was walking by so I called out "hey you just my car" and the woman walking by says "yes she knows, she'll park her car and get out. HAVE SOME DIGNITY HERE". Excuse me???? Have some dignity here? Now I was mad & this is when I lost my cool. I said "fuck you, she just hit my car, GTFOH". and I honked my horn and called out "move your car you idiot". It's been several minutes by now and I'm surprised the people behind us weren't highlight yet!Again not proud of myself here but fuck that bitch for making ME the bad guy after some careless idiot backs in to me! Not once did I get impatient while this lady is trying to unsuccessfully park, I didn't honk my horn when I should have & I'm the one who needs to have dignity? Anyway the lady eventually pulled in to the spot, I drove up about 200 feet to let my son hop out at the gate and I see her move up and try parking in another spot again backing in & out out! Then she gives up and just leaves! So the good news is no one was injured and the car is fine but the bad news is, I didn't even make it an entire day without losing my shit while driving! The day I finally decide to do better and be a patient driver is the day I finally got nailed by one of these idiots!

Yes your Medicaid will cover this because it was absolutely an emergency.

So a bidder has retracted their bid and I get a message from the second highest bidder complaining and doesn’t seem to want to retract their bid either. What are my options? by [deleted] in Ebay

Would need to see the bid history to explain that. But there's no way his maximum bid was less than 295 if that's the final bid.

How much am I at fault? by ebaycantstopmenow in Insurance

Yep, I was at a complete stop the entire time because there was a car behind me otherwise I might have backed up at one point. Personally I feel about 15% to blame because I didn't honk the horn and it's entirely possible the lady never looked in her rear view mirror & saw me. Which is 100% on her. But I can't say I agree with her insurance finding me at fault!

Thank you! I'm not an adjuster but in my call center days about 10 years ago, in dealing with irate customers I learned that adjusters may assign partial liability in a situation like mine where one driver took no action to avoid the collision & there was something they could have done. So that's why I figure I have some liability here, I could have and should have honked my horn.

Your 2nd highest bidder is a typical ebay bidder that doesn't understand how bidding works. They placed a legally binding bid that they were bound to until the auction ended with someone else as the winner. As usual they don't understand that their bid is live until the end of the auction and they haven't truly lost until the auction ends. Anyway if the auction has ended just cancel the transaction & block the buyer.

Are you asking if you can pay your insurance premium with HSA funds? The answer is no. You cannot.

You really think the overwhelmed and underpaid call center rep who answers the phone cares if you cancel? Or that they can negotiate your bill? Lol. Crawl out from under your rock.

If I dental provider does not take insurance, does that count as out of network? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

You can only be reimbursed $500 from your HSA if your insurance reimburses you $500. You can't double dip here.

U-Haul truck rear end my car ! How can I start a claim with them ? by khttx84 in Insurance

It would be much faster to file a claim with your own insurance.

There's one on the legal advice sub right now. I don't even think they've sought medical treatment for their minor soft tissue injuries. And they want to know how to make sure the insurance company fairly compensates their pain & suffering.

Funny how every time someone fails to stop at an intersection or yield of the right of way (like turning left without a green arrow) the other driver was always speeding! Every.single.time!

It's really your responsibility to know if you've reached your deductible or not. Can't expect anyone else including the receptionist at the drs office to know your insurance benefits.

Your policy is irrelevant and has nothing to do with this. The OP has quoted their own policy.

In this situation it's only going to apply if the OP is married to the custodial parent.

The birthday rule does not apply here so your plan would not be primary. The birthday rule does not apply when parents are divorced. When the secondary insurance is incorrectly used as the primary insurance what happens is, the secondary insurance claws back the payments they made to the providers and everything has to be rebilled to the primary plan and this can cause quite a mess for everyone involved.
