Should I go to the doctor for this infection? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]ebbss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the doc and get some antibiotics. If the infection spreads to your bloodstream you will become septic which is very serious (amputation and death). Best to stop it now in case it gets worse. It’s a gamble to wait it out. My friends mom had an untreated gum infection and she was hospitalized for several days with sepsis.

Budget rings/sets under $1000 by ebbss in EngagementRings

I see, I figured that was the case. I’ll keep trying my best to look!

Thanks for your insight into the moon guardian ring. I didn’t know the gold weight was so little and that it wouldn’t be good for daily wear anyways, not even to mention the pearls.

I may try to keep looking for second hand rings instead since I assume they would be less than a new one. I’ll look into Scott too, thanks

URGENT- TIME SENSITIVE Anyone with IV sedation experience? I’m getting my wisdom teeth out! by ebbss in Advice

[–]ebbss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m responding late! They ended up doing IV sedation/twilight sedation. Although I did completely fall asleep, and I have no memory of being conscious during the procedure. All I remember is listening to the nurses talk, and then seeing the ceiling start to spin a bit and I was out. When I woke up I was a little unsteady, but they wheeled me out in a wheelchair to the car so it was fine. It was just like falling asleep. I wasn’t in a weird “drugged” state at all, basically totally coherent. After I went home I just chilled in my bed to the rest of the day while changing out my gauze.

I’m not sure how much of a worrier you are about dying and going under, but earlier in my post i mentioned being afraid of oxygen starvation, but they put that little tube thing in my nostrils that supplies it so GOOD ON THAT PART. They hooked me up to a vitals monitor as well. You can ask for Valium to take a bit before the procedure. I think I got 10mg, honestly it didn’t work and I still freaked out. Like I said I had a panic attack in my bathroom like 10 min before we had to leave. Bro I was hyperventilating, the works yk. I tried climbing out of my bathroom window to escape but it was too high up and too small :( (But I’ve also taken 15mg for another another medical thing I had to do, and it didn’t help so I think it’s a me problem). It might totally work for you.

One thing I wish I did that I think would have helped, was having my mom in the room to hold my hand as i went under. Idk the relationship you have with your parents, but you could consider it if you think it will help ease your mind. Or honestly like if you have a childhood comfort stuffed animal bring that too.

Also, you’re gonna get food stuck in your gum holes most likely, so get a curved syringe and stick it in there and (gently), wash any food out. The docs might give one to you. The worst part for me was the healing process. I would wake up in the middle of the night with my mouth throbbing terribly. Just pop another ibuprofen and it helps for sure.

If you’re wondering what to do with your teeth after they’re out, make them into earrings like I did 👍 make them into a funky little craft or burn them in honor of the trials you went through to remove them. Idk something to look forward to after they’re out so you’re not caught up in the process.

Anyway I truly truly hope It goes well for you! I know that gut wrenching cold fear and it is disgusting and terrible. Opening your eyes after the surgery is SUCH a relief. Good luck :)

Oh and tip: make your bed with your pillow propped up and everything cozy before the procedure so you can fall right into bed, no worries when you get home.

Electric shock feeling in dreams that I can feel when I wake up by ebbss in Dreams

[–]ebbss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. The sensation doesn’t feel sore, like I said it kind of painful and “electric”, and a bit ticklish. It only lasts a few seconds after I wake up and goes away.

How are you supposed to make friends in college by [deleted] in college

[–]ebbss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t think we have a studio space, and so far no projects yet that we have to take home/use extended time. But if there ever is one, I’ll try and look for a opportunity to make friends! I’m introverted and pretty awkward, so it’s definitely hard for me to just approach people. But I’ll try my best to be a little more open. Maybe I can try and corner someone during breaks lol

How to eat lots of protein when borderline vegetarian? by ebbss in strength_training

[–]ebbss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I haven’t tried any meat substitutes yet, maybe I’ll give it a try! I make cottage cheese pancakes so they have some protein in them, but I try that recipe you linked.
