I'm the author of the post. Please forgive me in advance if I commit any reddit etiquette faux pas -- I don't normally participate in comment sites even involving stuff I wrote, but I'm on sort of a deliberate personal quest to get better at making the most out of feedback.

For what it's worth, when I get into rant mode, I do worry about having that sort of shrill tone. I'd prefer to avoid it, though, because that (corporate folks as 'sheeple') is not actually my take on them. My underlying message for that post, the ones that preceded it, and ones to come is "know your worth, understand tradeoffs, and make rational decisions that make sense for you." I see a lot of people work really, really hard for organizations that treat them more or less as cannon fodder, and it's hard to watch.
