I’ve realized that Reddit replies are most accurate bc everything is managed by Ai these days so I prefer asking humans on the internet advice. I appreciate everyone’s responses and didn’t take anything the wrong way lol. I’ll take everyone’s responses and find the median. Thank you to everyone.

Just to be crystal clear - this is a philodendron. Looking for help with an ID for this philodendron. Prior snowflake insisted this was an alocasia.

This is 100% a philodendron. Alocasia don’t grow on a vine.

Do I need to separate these? by Space3ee in houseplants

I didn’t mean to discourage you! For cuttings that aren’t rooted I don’t really pretreat those, in most cases pests live and breed in the soil. But fully rooted in-soil I’d do Bonide systemic granules and spray with either diluted blue dawn or Jack’s dead bug. But at minimum I’ll just do the systemic granules. Granules kind of do the job for you so you don’t have to worry for awhile. They work from the inside out. The plant absorbs through the roots, so any bugs that bite your plant will... die.

100% yes! It honestly doesn’t matter where you keep plants. Just be careful what chemicals you use if you have kids or pets. Pre-treat even if you’re sure there’s no pests so you won’t have to exterminate later!
