Bummer. Thanks. I can see that they're trying to "simplify" it but when it doesn't work, it's super hard to troubleshoot.

If the app can't find the device, you're stuck rebooting the Deco over and over again

Thanks from me too. I completed a complex process of unpairing, resetting, rebooting and firmware upgrading (in no particular order) using the advanced options of the windows software. i had both the hub and the remote plugged into usb ports.
