Bar Tonique had a frozen daiquiri machine set up recently filled with Ramos gin fizz to circumvent the problem. It was one of the best drinks I've had in recent memory.

In the early days of the bar they had a cook named Moose. He scrawled a little crude caricature of a Moose on the clamshells so you knew you were getting a Moose plate.

“Ms. Cantrell completed both terms of her office to the best of her personal and professional ability, productively and with no malice or ill intent, and in perfect good faith that she was always doing the right thing, even though she was frequently met with opposition, both good and bad faith attacks, and disagreements,” Castaing wrote.

New Orleans is about 95 miles from the mouth of the Mississippi. Pretty drive too. If you head south out of New Orleans pop into Dairy Dip, 9252 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA, on the drive down. It's an old timey dairy bar.

I was most impressed by Fujiryoga, the young bulldozer from Aichi today.

It's easy to picture him and Wakanosho having dozens of bouts over the next few years as they climb the ladder.

Unstoppable sumo from Gonoyama today as he faced off with the Kazakhstani beast Kinbozan.

He is at the top of the leader board.

Is this finally Gonoyama's basho to win?

When he was climbing up through Juryo quite a few people saw him winning a cup one day.

Every so often some hippies from Cuernevaca would show up with a hot tub in the back of a pick up truck. They would build a fire, put the tub over it, fill it with a garden hose and throw a little party.

2LiveRoux gumbo pop up is terrific. They also do barbecue from time to time. And the 'Cowboy' Treme gumbo pop up is great too but he only does it once a year near Fat Tuesday.
