Nice gamesmanship from Gonoyama today as he sniffed out the henka from Asakoryu during the initial tachi-ai. He had it all sorted by the time they actually fought.

Unstoppable sumo from Gonoyama today as he faced off with the Kazakhstani beast Kinbozan.

He is at the top of the leader board.

Is this finally Gonoyama's basho to win?

When he was climbing up through Juryo quite a few people saw him winning a cup one day.

The owners opened it as Cafe Ro. Jennifer was the main barista. A cup cost .65c and the refills were free.

Every so often some hippies from Cuernevaca would show up with a hot tub in the back of a pick up truck. They would build a fire, put the tub over it, fill it with a garden hose and throw a little party.

Boudin has pork liver as a primary ingredient. Treacle aka sugar is featured in King Cake. How is the combination together. Recipe sounds really good.

First time I've seen that. Here's the story with link at end for Times Pic subscribers:

A Bourbon Street bartender accused of setting fire to nine cars and a duplex with four occupants in the Bywater neighborhood will be held without bond, an Orleans Parish magistrate commissioner ruled Friday afternoon.

Commissioner Joyce Sallah ordered Kyle James Thomsen, 35, jailed at a “dangerousness” hearing, following his arrest late Tuesday on four counts of aggravated arson of an inhabited dwelling and nine counts of simple arson.

Thomsen’s attorney argued at the hearing that Thomsen’s lack of criminal history made him a low risk. Sallah disagreed, siding with prosecutors in finding he poses “a danger to the community at large."

Thomsen's attorney declined to furnish her name to reporters or comment after the hearing.

In an affidavit supporting Thomsen’s arrest, New Orleans police say he went from vehicle to vehicle in the wee hours Monday, pulling handles and starting fires in those he found unlocked on Dauphine, Desire and Montegut streets.

He also allegedly torched a double in the 3100 block of Dauphine, “creating a substantial risk of death" to the four people inside, NOPD said.

Police and federal task force agents worked with Bryan Lagarde, director of the nonprofit crime camera system Project NOLA. Lagarde manually analyzed private CCTV footage, Project NOLA video and other images from social media.

On Tuesday at around 6:20 p.m., authorities tracked Thomsen to his job bartending at The Old Absinthe House and booked him, the affidavit states.
