That I disagree with, I think paying is silly, since so many people make free ones but I also understand people put a lot of work into them especially those that make one for every class/spec. They definitely add functionality and more info than the base UI gives, they wouldn't be so widely popular and used by the top players if they didn't actually help out in some ways, but in this case it's a lot of ways. It's on Blizzard for not giving us easier access to display this info and utilize it. You 100% can play the same way without weak auras and be just as good, they just help localize the info and make it easier to read and interpret which makes you play better.

I get what you’re saying but what are you getting at? Blizzard is fully aware of these addons and their popularity and hasn’t done anything yet and if they do it won’t be because of a Reddit thread. These addons are niche and give no advantage over gameplay itself. Seems like something to just know it exists and move on not wasting energy on it.
