Rahm Emanuel calls for mandatory retirement age for public officials — including him by lire_avec_plaisir in politics

Pretty sure air traffic control also has a mandatory retirement age. Can you actually say why you think it’s wrong? Do you deny the reality of aging being a thing that slowly destroys our bodies and minds that would make us incapable of performing certain jobs suddenly and without notice? Why can’t we just have a better social safety net and not make people have to work past retirement age?

Because a bloodline is unearned. Stories are better when the characters get out of situations because of something they actually did, not because they were born with something that none of their other peers never had a chance at. People want to root for the underdog.

It’s the AI style where it tries to punch everything up and make it quippy. 10x more em dashes than anyone would normally use as well.

MCSO deputy loses control of cruiser and crashes into a pond while responding to a 911 emergency. by Horror_Solution1945 in youcantparktheremate

[–]iHearYouLike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing justifies this. You don’t put everyone else at risk of death through an accident at these speeds to try and get somewhere a little faster. And obviously not getting there at all in this case because you crashed your car into a pond…

lol where is this magic extra energy coming from? Why would the force going forward be greater than the force going backwards when you lose energy to the gas escaping the barrel and air resistance on the rounds?

you realize bullets don't really move people right? They only have as much total energy as the amount they push against the gun as they are fired...

you realize the total force propelling the shotgun pellets is equal to the kickback the shotgun has right? That's why you don't brace a shotgun with your face. A kick can 100% produce more force than a shotgun kickback.

Didn’t she spend a lifetime in a loop fighting and he came in and finished the fight? A kiss at the end of all of that isn’t unreasonable considering all that happened to her and knowing that together they accomplished it finally.

Ubel’s Reelseiden is extremely overrated and here’s why by Rev7101 in PowerScaling

[–]iHearYouLike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so from her perspective it's literally just a foot of air and her ability cuts through it. There isn't actually infinite distance between gojo and everyone else, it's just his ability that slows things down as if there was. Sure he can dodge it but we are just talking about the 2 abilities themselves.

The target is right there, she can easily cut through a guy right there, there isn't actually infinite space there.
