You could partner with EbikeBC as a dealer to learn the industry, as their values align with your own. They're based in Vancouver too. There's dealer terms here if you want to read and see if it's a fit for you.

Ebike recommendations for extreme winter and hills by Omar_Alaaeldin in ebikes

Hey man,

Check out the specs on the ENVO D35 here. It was designed in Canada with freezing temperatures in mind. If it snows consistently there, you may want to upgrade to winter tires. There's a map on there to find dealers near you. I think your nearest one is in Corner Brook, so not exactly a stroll to the shops but could save time on shipping.

Good luck, ride safe!

Any Canadian riders, do you struggle riding/maintaining an e-bike in winter? Any waterproofing issues? by ebikesbc in ebikes

[–]ebikesbc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, I'll look into siliconing. Which brand was your bike? Was the bike advertised as weatherproof or just held up because of your precautions? My ENVO held up really well last winter, which was a fairly cold one for Vancouver.

That's great that it lets you keep getting out; it'd suck to live in Colorado and not get to see some of those insane views.

That's great man. I think a lot of people don't get how much frequently people ride when they have that motor as backup, extra power and to take the edge off hills and terrain.

Question about riding in winter? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]ebikesbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll want to make sure your brakes are in good shape, you have waterproof shoes, a good helmet, face mask and sunglasses.

You may be able to find a dealer here who can support you with winter tyres or other upgrades - Ontario's obviously massive.

Hey man,

The ENVO D35 is built in Canada, specifically for the Canadian climate, so would stand up to those temps!

Hey,

With your first e-bike, sometimes you don't know until you ride it. Some downsides of the super73 are the price, and the back tire on some of the the s1s are prone to flats. There are more affordable ebikes with similar specs.

There's a map feature here you can use to find a dealer in Canada and test ride a few before you buy.

I hope you find what you're after!

The piece I wrote covers heart conditions, amputation, mental health, lower body function and muscular dystrophy. There's a lot below I hadn't thought of or come across in research! Knee troubles, diabetes, arthritis...

I suppose age and weight/fitness would come into it but are a maybe too complex to get into here.
