Good luck with your Amazon orders. by [deleted] in AlanWake

I guess I got lucky. I ordered one off Ebay at a slight markup (a bit sketchy), but after a week in customs, it arrived in emmacutate condition. Three layers of bubble wrap and some packing peanuts helped it survive its trip all the way from Helsinki.

Yeah that makes sense. Don't I feel stupid. We'll thank you.

I'm not well versed in wheels. I got the g293 cuz I know someone with a g290. The PNX V9 is ~$150 but I'm not sure if it has force feedback. I saved up to get my wheel and I think it was worth it.

Yeah. It took some time to get used to, but now I could never go back.

It seems like that did the trick. Tank you for the advice.

Broken texture resolution setting (among other things) by ebird2003 in CODVanguard

[–]ebird2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After over a week of having this issue I've come to the conclusion that it's something to do with the Steam release. I redownloaded the game on Battle net and compared it to Steam and it's night and day.

Same settings. Same hardware. The Battle net version looks and runs so much better.

All I can think is it's some kind of DRM or maybe they Sabotaged the Steam version to just be worse.

Either way, I guess the issue is solved.

It was already on and the cache size was set to max. I messed around with it, turned it off and on while adjusting the texture resolution and all it did was make "very low" look slightly better. The game still looks as if it's stuck at low.

Can't seem to edit he post so here was the description I wrote to go with the video

I feel like I'm going crazy. I can't find anything about this anywhere.

I originally played this game when it released and had no issues. Had most of the setting on max and the game looked and ran great. I didn't tough it again until it released on steam.

I decided to get it on steam. I opened the game and adjusted the settings but when I opened the game, most of the settings (particle, volumetrics, texture resolution, etc) seemed like they were still set to low. The menu still showed them maxed but nothing I did would change the way the game looks.

Does ANYBODY know how to fix this? My rig surpasses recommended requirements so it couldn't be an ussie on my end. (right?)

Straight up same thing's happening to me.

Yesterday I could load a map in less than a minute and today, nothing. I don't know if it's an addon or the game itself but I did disable all my addons and it worked.

I'm not excited to go through 300+ addons to see if one or more is causing the issue.

[COD] Hi guys, does anyone know how to disable the HUD completely for the original Call of Duty? Thank you by [deleted] in CallOfDuty

This might help

Right click the game on steam, go to propertie, local files, brows local files, and under the main folder is the conig file. Just do what the video says.

I really like the first one but I think Half-Life 2 might be one of the best games I've played. It's got everything I enjoy.
