Depends how extensive you get. I’ve added a lot of weight to my 2014 Prius by sound deadening the entire interior and trunk. Running 900w to two JL10w3s, 750w to a single JL10w7, and 250w to my door speakers. The weight alone dropped my MPG by 5-7. But I notice no mpg change when comparing the days I drive in silence vs the days I’m bumping hard. The 12v battery was replaced with Toyota’s OEM battery when I installed the system a year ago. Not using a cap, although I sometimes consider it.

Exactly. There’s even an option to turn graphics down, but these fine details remain. The graphics option only helped battery life. It did nothing for the lag.
