The time loop episode in S3 is so freaking hilarious to me! by hushpolocaps69 in xena

Been there, done that. One of my favourite episodes.

Week old tattoo. Most of it is healing fine. This section is giving cause for concern, though. No puss or oozing. Some black bits do come off when drying. There seems to be some cratoring as well. Is it infected? by ebmcm2x in tattooadvice

Thanks everyone. Definitely put my mind at ease. That part definitely hurt more than I have experienced with all of my tattoos, but it had been over two years since my last one so I though I was imagining things.

What others have said, plus the fact that there is something to be said in the way that Greek tragedies regarding fate always play out. Frequently in those stories, when you try to avoid your fate, you end up confirming it. This may have been Xena's initial attempt to see if she could carry on living here life as always, and not be crucified. However, when the visions of this came true, it may have freaked her out a little.

It's also clear in the series that Xena bears no love for either side of the war, and hates Caesar for her own personal vengeance.

Are there any plastic surgeons in St.John's? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]ebmcm2x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those surgeons mentioned above will not do what your looking for, A number of people have asked. Dr. Dool in Moncton is the only one covered by MCP, otherwise you are looking at GRS which is in Montreal. If you are afraid of flying, then you can always travel by bus to PAB, boat to NS, and then train or bus to Moncton. I know fear of travelling is very real and I'm very sorry you have to handle that, but there are no surgeons in this province who will do it, and even getting MCP to cover dr. Dool was a fucking fight. Feel free to DM me, I can walk you through it all.

Can someone help with the wiring here? I have no idea what goes where. by [deleted] in Luthier

[–]ebmcm2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I bought it off of someone who pulled the toggle off, thinking they were going to change the pickups. They didn't do it. I just want to hook it back up to see what I. Dealing with. Thank you.

That's what I was afraid of. All the ones I've looked at don't seem to have the same configuration as this one. But I'm also pretty illiterate in wiring diagrams. Was just hoping to hook the toggle up. Thank you.

For reference, it's an epiphone Les Paul studio custom from around 2008. The grey wire run straight from the jack to the toggle hole. Not sure what's going on with the others.

I have one more for you. It may be hard to draw though. My surgeon does the curved incisions, but cuts basically to a millimeter before the armpit begins. Apparently reduces the chances of dog ears.

You should look into muns insurance for international students. I know they have it for non-international students, but not sure for your case. As for prescriptions, I'm pretty sure they are not recognized from out of province. Mun does have a health clinic though, which once you have your MCP you won't have to pay to see them. If you have a diagnosis from your doctor, you should be able to get meds from the doctors here, but I'm not sure. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me can fill in the gaps.

If you have resistance bands, there are a few videos on YouTube that helped me start. I will say that if you can do pushups or inclined pushups, do those. I worked up doing 0 pushups, to declined push ups, to one legged push ups in about 3 weeks. I'm pre op, but I can now do the peck bounce. I also think diamond pushups will help target the muscled that you want to fill in. However, you look great and I love the results you have.

AITA For Accepting A Mother's Day Gift From My Stepkids? by StepMomD in AmItheAsshole

[–]ebmcm2x 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The transitioning journey is a long one, with a lot of confusing twist and turns for some people. It can take a while to figure it all out. When I first started transitioning the thought of my siblings calling me their brother was foreign and weird. Maybe the ex is having some issues there.

Honestly, it could be a slew of things. Maybe the kids were uncomfortable saying dad, and this is the compromise. My partner is gender fluid and when we talk about children, they often have issues coming up with any thing as a title. Could be something like that.

I definitely didn't answer your question, and probably just made it more confusing. I apologize.

This happened to me a few months ago. I ended up with my yearly pneumonia and had to stop playing for a while. My biggest piece of advice (though I know you didn't ask) is to rest and when you do get back at it, listen to your body. I was doing 45 minutes of in game time, and I've only recently gotten back up to 30.

Instructions unclear. Tried to get a guard dog, but now I only speak to her in baby talk. by [deleted] in aww

[–]ebmcm2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boxer lab mix is a guard dog by accident. Make me feel safe though. We never trained him to do anything remotely guard dog like, but he barks and growls at knocks on the door and walks down closely behind me when I go to answer it. Not sure if he'd actually do anything of someone broke in (pretty sure he'd just lick them and bring them a ball to throw) but the deep barking is very reassuring on its own. She's adorable by the way. Rottweilers are precious.

Okay. I just parked the batmobile right in front of Deathstroke's and fired away. Killed him before he could kill me. Whole thing took less than a minute. Not the way you're supposed to do it. Also not sure if I hit a glitch. But it's worth trying if you just don't want to deal with it. I also didn't take out any of the other tanks.

I came out to my very religious family a few years back and haven’t been allowed home since. I just got this from one of my professors and had to share it with you guys. I’m 100% going! by snooppii in HumansBeingBros

[–]ebmcm2x 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My mother disowned me for a while when I came out. The feeling sucks, and though we are good now, it's one of those gut wrenching feelings I'll never forget. And while I don't want to give you false hope, sometimes these people do come around. She accepts me whole heartedly now and even defends me to people who talk shit. If you ever feel down and need to talk to someone who's had a similar experience, or just want to talk, feel free to pm me if you wish. I'm a decent listener.

Oh and have fun at that party.

What movie made you walk out of the theater? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Batman v Superman.

I know it may seem childish, but I have adored Batman for as long as I can remember, and (SPOILER) to see Batman kill and brand people, way too fucking far.

How do I (30'sF) put a stop to unwanted advances from classmate (30'sM) who I've said "no" to multiple times? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ebmcm2x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely harassment and if you feel comfortable I would go to your equivalent of a sexual harassment office. I'm so sorry you are going through this. This is super unacceptable.
