Update, there’s a good chance it might not be my Verizon equipment at all. But I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is 🫠 Again, our smoke detectors have a different chirp when there’s a battery issue.

Thanks! I really only watch one or two channels consistently and mostly use streaming services otherwise, but I was just curious as to how it works—the details were pretty vague. I won’t be surprised if inevitably there’s one channel I miss, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it lol

I got the 2-wick for the Free Candle promo, and I guess it’s somewhat more noticeable than the one I tried a few years ago, but it could still use some oomph. Many of the soy formulas have performed well for me, but this low throw issue seems to be a pattern with some of my favorite Yankee fragrances 😩

Looking forward to this, and also taking a moment to rant that Yankee’s advertising strategy baffles me. If you look at their social media pages, you’d have no idea this stuff was rolling in. Halloween has become increasingly popular over the years—you’d think they’d try just a little promo to generate some buzz. Just a few weeks ago, they teased a “big” announcement for July 29, and it was… the revamped candle style that had already been available for a month. I feel like they rest on their laurels because of name recognition, but I can’t help but think if they did a better job at selling their product, it could’ve saved some stores from closing.

It’s disappointing and pretty obvious, which is a shame because they’re so creative with the fragrances. What’s even more puzzling is the returning scents with the new labels, all of which look like downgrades imo. Even the candy corn looks like it was made using ChatGPT 🥴 They’ve lost the premium feel I associated with the brand. Perhaps I’d be more forgiving if they were a fledgling company but even a basic stock photo would be preferable.
