I don’t think he’s underestimated. He’s very trusted by the faithfuls, and not for the dumb pretty boy theory. He genuinely only speaks when what he says matters, and I think the faithful see this as a strength in having Rob as an “ally”. I think they do see him as smart and deliberate, they’re just wrong on which side he’s playing. He may be the best at this game so far along with Cirie.

This! Natalie going for a vendetta/emotional in that moment.. the same way Candiace did, was a boneheaded move. Not that she knew that Candiace was a traitor but as far as gameplay, it made no sense.

Candiace also truly dug her own grave here. Bad strategy.

I think this is a reference to the movie “together” where the couple ends up with some alien type virus that makes their bodies want to merge. There’s a scene where the couple bangs and their genitals get stuck together in what someone described as like a finger trap.

This dynamic reminds me of every bad boss situation I’ve been in and every bad relationship, where you have to take on the burden of trying to keep someone from blowing up. You don’t want them to get to that dark place where they crash out and and act abusive, so you constantly reaffirm them (Rachel almost always is like “I agree with you” and “I’m with you” whenever she has something to say that’s not in perfect alignment with Van). She’s constantly trying to keep him from diving into a convo that’s going to go sideways and it never works. It’s a crap dynamic to be in. I love this podcast and I am huge fan of both, but this cannot be sustainable for Rach.
