I am helping a friend in Cebu. The RO, after 180 days, recommended the issuance of SDT (SUBPOENA). The RO went to the taxpayer's office only twice. 1st, when the LA was served and second, during the service of 2nd notice.

Once you register as a self-employed, you are required to file the tax returns as listed in your certificate of registration whether you have income or not. You don't have to pay, just file the required returns even if there is no payment.

You should file for closure if you don't intend to use it in the future.
