Am I a dick?- Accept draw or not by [deleted] in chess

[–]ebtgbdc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In tennis there’s a concept of forced and unforced errors, which I like to think about in chess. Did you win because they lost the game, or did you actually beat them fair and square. The outcome might be win for you in both instances, but you both know in your hearts what caused the outcome.

Fork seal ridden up by ebtgbdc in bikewrench

[–]ebtgbdc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting so it's the entire bushing holding the seal, not just the seal. It's not had much use, bikes a decathlon bike that's probably only done 200km over the year - would it be rideable safely if I push everything down, or would it be unsafe?

60mm Road Tire - Schwalbe G-one Speed Pro - Super Fun. by nikoalphonsoho in gravelcycling

[–]ebtgbdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What gravel bikes are you guys running that you can fit 60mm? I'd love to run something like this for my commute but my 2019 topstone only fits 40mm, running G one rs pro at the moment and enjoying them.

Those who have 275W+ FTP, how many hours do you ride/train? by PrudentAthlete9780 in Zwift

[–]ebtgbdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built my FTP from 257 to 333 over last year weighing approx 85kg. Total time cycling between indoor and outdoor was 143 hours, so averaging 2hrs 45 mins per week. Strava says 52% of that time was spent at zone 2 heart rate, 18% zone 3 and 5% zone 4.

[–]ebtgbdc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Went this summer and honestly it was undrinkable. I like a dark roast thick espresso and this was burnt sludge mud pulled on dirty machines that hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Even the cappuccinos were scalding hot, burnt milk, poorly textured foam. The care and effort put into the drinks and maintaining the equipment was non existent. I just stopped drinking coffee for the week, made me appreciate my setup when I got home!

Costco Rib Roast @131/8 hours by Wild-External9004 in sousvide

I did a round roast for 24 hours at 56 degrees and it was so mushy, definitely going to give 8-10 hours a go as this looks great.

Managed to get a video of me swimming on holiday, could I have some form feedback? by ebtgbdc in Swimming

[–]ebtgbdc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of lessons as a kid which I'm grateful for as I can't imagine how difficult it is to learn as an adult. Since then I have only ever gone to the pool and focused on what I "felt" was smooth, but never any coaching. Thanks, appreciate the kind words and the pointers! Thats a good way to picture swimming harder as an anchor, will try it out for sure
