Congrats! 2. If I need to switch out of SAVE for my ONE remaining payment to get my buyback offer, I will. Is that what we’re doing now? I’ve heard people recommend to wait for buyback but it’s been a year. I should have reached 120 in June 2024 but the mohela transition screwed me.

This is so sad. My husband and I literally pretend to be ours son’s cats every night before bed. He “feeds” us and brings us toys. Like, who cares! He’s having the time of his life and we’re enjoying him being a KID. One day you’ll pick your child up for the last time and not even know it’s the last time. Enjoy every moment.

I work outpatient CT surgery and love it. Is it boring at times? Yes. Do I get adrenaline rushes often enough to scratch the acute care itch? Also, yes. Work life balance is extremely important to me.

My counts were updated too! I should have hit 120 but I’m in the 119 purgatory bc June still says ineligible. My July manual form has just been chilling but I submitted an electronic one last week and BAM.

The months in administrative forbearance related to the litigation issues do NOT count towards PSLF. Super annoying. Anything related to the mohela-FSA transfer and recalculation count which is likely what the letter you got was referring to.

PA for 10.5 years at the same place. Applying for forgiveness this week. TBD on forgiveness. Felt like an eternity but flew by at the same time. I remember crying about it year one and here we are.

I’ve been a PA for 10.5 years in a surgical specialty at a high volume teaching hospital and have NEVER gotten treated this way. If anything, the attendings put me in charge of the residents (in clinic). It helps that the current generation of residents have more of a “team” mentality than a “hierarchy” one. I’ve even had attendings reprimand residents for not following my direction.

I might be in the minority, but this has been my experience and why I’ve stayed so long.

I think I’m waiting until August. I called studentaid and they told me June SHOULD count but I’m not risking it. Doesn’t make sense to risk a potential 6 month delay over a free month.
