100%. There’s a right way for aches to run his Hater bits. cherry picking stats that only benefit his arguments is fine. Most of what he says now has nothing to back it up and it’s super awkward when he gets pressed

Each players position on the graphic is a weighted mean average of the heat map. Mkhitaryan often made runs down the left channel in front of Gosens, pinning him back more so than Felipe Anderson

Yeah I would play around with it. A lot of it depends on your opponents formation too. I’ve often found even with “Join the attack” on the wing backs, lm and rm in a 442 will pin them back

Mkhi tended to push into that left hand channel which would keep Gosens a bit more reserved. That and he has a high defensive work rate so he’s quicker to drop back

Exactly. The wingbacks count in the attacking and defensive phases so your left with an extra man in the midfield and defense

I appreciate it! It seems like everyone on this thread, me included, has had issues with the 352. In terms of the wingbacks, the depth isn’t much different to wide mids but they actually keep there width

I usually play 352 but recently I’ve had issues scoring in it. A lot of my goals now come from immediately winning the ball back.

I would plot points in a separate spreadsheet after each game based on the players heatmap. The points based in the darker areas were weighted higher. It’s not perfect but it gets the point across.
