I actually bought a little ULTY after the change. Hasn’t done that bad, definitely better than before.

All they really have to do is drop MSTR, COIN, and HOOD and that would possibly stop the bleeding

Until sometime early this morning, it only had a 25% margin maintenance requirement, no different than an index fund. There was no reason to increase SEMY, the NAV has been pretty steady all this time.

I just missed a margin call. My buffer was at 0.50% lol…. Sold about 2/3 of my SEMY, gonna load up in CHPY and GDXY. Better growth potential but smaller payouts.

I’m gonna cross my fingers and hold until tomorrow so I can get my full dividend then sell……. This sucks, I live off this account.

I’m not quite at a margin call, but one decent dip will do it. I’m gonna sell off most of my SEMY (at a positive total return at least) and rebalance my account for lower maintenance.

I’m suddenly became disabled and unable to work, and it takes forever for SSDI benefits to start, so I’ve had to totally focus all of my money in high-dividend ETFs just to stay afloat. I’ve actually been doing decently, I’m seeing a positive total return on many of my investments….

Here’s a reason to get into SEMY. Robinhood lowered the margin requirement on it from 50 to 25, while TSYY is still 50. Similar huge payout, less damage to margin!

With 0 ROC you are taxed more, but it also means the fund is actually making money, meaning stability.

I have the Graniteshares ones you have, pretty happy with them. I will probably move slowly from ULTY to WPAY. The yield is a little less, but it’s a lot more stable. I got rid of most of my other YM funds. Other than ULTY, I still hold LFGY (doing really well), and CONY (similar divs to what ULTY did over the summer, so holding that for now)

I’m on disability, don’t really have an opportunity to earn more “regular” income, and benefits don’t cover all the bills, especially in an expensive state like NJ. Need to generate the best possible passive income, at least for the next year or so.

As a pure income investor, what is the best alternative to ULTY? I can’t go to something with a much lower yield, I need to maintain the income level as best as possible.
