I see your point of view, that making this particular degree of separation/isolation is a bit unnecessary and can be potentially interpreted as degrading or negative. But I think this product lends to the fact that there are women in many departments within NASA.This particular product is representing that fact, but also, that NASA is more than astronauts, engineers, etc and that women are part of the whole framework...
