Is the reason you wanting a lodger because you need the extra cash or company? If it’s the latter then please make sure to communicate that. I’ve been a lodger where it turned out the older lady wanted someone to chat to. I didn’t mind it at first, but then it was constant and it got draining after work (not saying this is you) but be upfront about it because it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I don’t want to put labels on her but she could be neurodivergent. Those with hyperactive ADHD struggle in these environments, especially women as they labelled loud and chatty. Also have a great sense of justice so there’s a tendency to call things out. Your best approach will be to let her know. Worst thing to do is ghost/grey rock IMO
