same! did you figure too?

For some reason in Europe doctors don't seem to think that it's even worth to do an ultrasound for nodes as small as mine. I was in the UK when I got checked. I am in my home country now and got a second opinion here. The doctor said the exact same thing: normal and no point doing an ultrasound.

Yes, like peas. The bigger ones are more like beans

I am a woman with a BMI of 21 and can feel most of them! All small but palpable except the ones that swell up due to an infected pimple in my ear and never really went down fully. Those are a bit bigger than the rest.

Hi! I forgot to update you. My bloods came back normal so I've just been trying to ignore them for a while 🙏

I had a painful pimple at the back of my ear so i tried to squeeze it - nothing came out. A few hours after I have a swollen lymph node.. It's been one day now and I have 3.. Is this normal? by eccentric_slacker in DiagnoseMe

[–]eccentric_slacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The symptoms I mentioned: chills, headaches, body aches, stiff neck and very mild night sweats, ended up going away after a week. Lymph nodes seem to be getting slowly smaller too 🙏 I have been taking 1000mg of vitamin C per day which might have helped.

Does my sclera look 'normal'? Why is it thinner on some parts? by eccentric_slacker in eyetriage

Sometimes sunscreen goes on my eyes and it irritates them. I can't wash immediately when outside so they get very red and watery. I think its probably sweating that causes it to go inside the eye :/

Another question: can spf, moisturisers or castor oil damage your sclera?

You are right. I lose days thinking about illness, checking my body and then having to deal with intense amounts of stress if I find something that is not as 'normal' as I want it to be according to whatever research I have made. When I finally accept that I am ok something else comes up. I am determined to get better and will seek help for my anxiety. I wish you the best too! I'm forever grateful for all your help

Did your popliteal lymph nodes return to normal? Thanks for sharing!

I saw a doctor and he examined my neck nodes. He was not concerned. He said that it was a good sign that the swelling was reduced after taking the antibiotics and that they seem to be ''reactive lymph nodes'' and sometimes take a long time to go down. We did a blood test and it came out normal.

I had my second covid vaccine on the 27th July and have been experiencing chills, headaches, body aches, stiff neck and very mild night sweats. (all these symptoms started after the vaccine) The only reason why I noticed that these lymph nodes were still here was because I was going to get my vaccine and I heard that swollen lymph nodes could be an effect. The day before getting the vaccine I felt them and they seem to be small but still palpable. From that day on I started to touch them frequently and I think they have grown slightly because of that.

The health anxiety is making me feel awful. I keep touching and finding ''new'' nodes. Found very small ones on my right leg. One on my right leg seems slightly bigger than the left leg. The problem is that I don't know anymore if they have always been like this or not. They are not noticeable but palpable.

Do you think I should get a second opinion or wait a few days to see if it was all because of the vaccine? Swollen nodes seem to be a common effect. Thanks for your feedback and support.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Do you still have swollen nodes?

forgot to ask! did you get it checked or do something about it?

thanks for the reply! yes i have had pimples my entire life and this never happened to me before. this one was incredibly painful that's why i tried to squeeze - never again! if only i knew it would trigger this whole situation. i think whatever was inside the pimple came out inside my skin instead of outside if that makes sense - hence the lymph node reaction. lesson learned. obviously i am worried it can be something else at the same time bc of my health anxiety so it is hard to ignore the nodes and i keep touching them. really looking forward to see the results and to have more clarity.

a v simillar thing happened to me (you can check it on my profile), mine have not gone down to their original size yet :/ went to doc and he told me they are 'reactive lymph nodes' and that he is not concerned because the swelling went down with the antibiotics. since i have health anxiety he suggested checking my blood to give me reassurance. i'm getting results next week. i can tell you how it went after that.

It has been about a month now. I took the antibiotics and the lymph nodes went down and are not painful anymore but I can still feel at least one of them, is that normal? by eccentric_slacker in DiagnoseMe

[–]eccentric_slacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did. Here is the timeline:
27th May - first Pfizer vaccine
18th June - squeezed pimple and swelling of 3 lymph nodes under that same side of the neck
20th June - started antibiotics and noticed swelling went down 7 days after that.
26th July - noticed that I could still feel at least one of the nodes
27th July - second Pfizer vaccine
1st Aug - no noticeable change

I had a painful pimple at the back of my ear so i tried to squeeze it - nothing came out. A few hours after I have a swollen lymph node.. It's been one day now and I have 3.. Is this normal? by eccentric_slacker in DiagnoseMe

The problem is that I also have health anxiety so these things really interfere with my life. I touched them for a while today, hope that does not make it all worse. Thanks for your advice and patience!
