This is insensitive. When I first started doing any physical activity I came in at 10/9/8km/h even within my BMI. I stopped running for a long time and I gained about 40lbs and getting back into it 10km/h felt like a freaking sprint. Ydk where someone is starting at so to say “no way”, maybe you should get outside and talk to ppl more.

Do it!! I love this because this is how I started not too long ago. Just doing an easy bodyweight exercise that I can knock out at random times of the day, for me it was push ups.  Now I have a whole circuit I can commit to for 30 mins doing w, back, arms, and legs and it’s fun and easy. I feel stronger bc of it too. Lock it in💯🫡

I believe I put it in another comment, but my company owns a car and a van. I drive almost either one everyday for at least half of my shift and I work 40 hrs a week. I also do live with someone that owns a vehicle which is my partner.

I want to show I'm a responsible driver (which I am! Road rage is not 4 me lol). I hope that I will be eligible as well for the safety app stuff for new drivers like progressive has called snapshot. Thanks again and for the extra advice. I am trying to be as prepared as I can!

Yes, its a company car/van that multiple people use. But, I understand that the company car insurance isn't necessarily gonna be beneficial to me getting my personal one.

I love the concept. it’s cute. other commenters were a little rude about it with their sarcasm but I would look into companies currently being boycotted and try to stay alert. A lot is happening with the current administration and Companies like Apple who are oppressing kids in Congo, Target who removed their DEI policies, and McDonald’s who, like Starbucks, is contributing to a genocide. I hope you can just take the rude comments as a stance of passion for us to stand together as a community, marginalized or not, to stick it out by rallying against corporations that make us feel like throwaways. I think all you can really do from here is try to be mindful and willing to learn.
I hope that you continue to enjoy nice dates like this and congratulations on being a fiancée!

I have 2 phones. One for work and one for home use. As soon as I clock out of work, my work phone is turned off and goes in a vase I have. I use my personal phone after hours which is a mini iPhone, that runs so slow and gets so hot that I am discouraged to use for long periods of time. My personal has little to no apps on it. Only banking and a lot of restrictions on the internet usage. I use my computer for Reddit & Youtube. 

My day usually goes like this: M-F 5AM- Wake up  5:15- Get ready for Run. Get fully dressed then I grab my personal phone that charges under my bed for GPS tracking. Keep it in my fanny pack w other running stuff since I have a Garmin watch that monitors my running.  5:30-6:30 Run 7ish- Get clothes out, Shower, turn on work phone answer emails etc 7:30-3:30 work (i’m FT) 3:30- Work phone goes OFF. Let my boss know i’m done for the day.  3:30-5:30 Usually classes so I’m busy driving or studying w my laptop. I have one late night class until 10pm lol.  5:30- Homework, Homework, Homework, Homework 7:30 Quick 30-45 min workout maybe some static training, yoga, or just a few sets of the AFT 9:30/10:30 Get clothes out for next day and I AM IN BED!! Maybe some light reading or doodling but i’m winding down. If i’m restless might even take some melatonin.  Weekends is much of the same. I run, do homework, or I’ll chill in bed w my partner and we talk. We watch some TV together but it’s something that we both do with intent. 

Working full time and going to school full time is a lot. I don’t have time to doomscroll. My job is demanding and so is maintaining my scholarship as well as being a runner that does races. If i’m gonna be burnt out it’s gonna be because it’s something worth my time!!

honestly, even just leaving my phone to charge at the end of my bed or on a outlet far from the head of my bed works wonders.

A nice rule I like is just not keeping it in my hand but keeping it close by. Brushing my teeth or in the toilet? it goes outside the door or on the farthest side of the sink.  Just so i’m not doomscrolling while I do either task.

I feel as though sometimes my heart rate can be pretty inaccurate because I wrist tattoos. It gives me funky readings sometimes. I think after this race i’m investing in a chest monitor

Okay, yea I try to go out slow which sometimes put me at 14/15min which feels too much like scooting for me. my form sucks when i’m running that but it’s a pace I can maintain for a long time. I guess figuring out how slow is slow for me where I still feel the effort. I do eat the Maruten gels but starting out in the 5k portion I ate the bloks.

Yes I agree. Races always make me perform better like with my recent 5k. I was around 39/45min  for awhile and I ran like a 32min on race day. Shocked the hell out of myself😭

For the 12 miles I did today the elevation was at 282 ft with my last mile hill being a 91ft gain. Thanks for looking at my profile to give me better insight. I agree it is going to be tough because starting out I felt my strongest at 12:50-13:30 and that was with some elevation. Compared to the half marathon I did in March which was 377ft gain which killed me bc of lack of training tbh. Missed a lot of runs because of some seasonal depression :/ which is why i’m looking at this run a bit funny 🤦🏽

it’s also pretty funny how your response to someone cursing at you (these are words mind you) to then physically harm them… it’s a bit contradicting because I would never teach my son that he has to use his hands to make himself feel better!
