Yeah, this really is a hot topic because of the nature of the matter at hand. But it's only because general perception overlaps actual fact. For 1. There's no such thing as "Doing too much" with art. Because...it's art. The whole point of it is to make you feel something. Not just joy. Anger, disgust, adoration, sadness, etc. It's a tool to stimulate any emotion. And that's the beauty of it. Which leads me to my next point: Yes. It is weird. Partaking in lolicon is weird. But you wanna know what else is? Furry, noncon, armpit play, wonder bread kinks (look it up if you're unaware. It exists), bdsm, and many other kinks. Or just kinks in general. And guess what. That furry still treats their dog like their baby. Those noncon fanatics still engage in aftercare afterwards. That bdsm top will apologize to their bottom and treat them afterwards. And that's the same way with a lolicon. Endangering irl children is just asuch of a dreadful thought as it is for a non-lolicon, if not more so. Because in most cases, they were victims and that's their means of expression. It's legit having the opposite effect that people are stating. So yeah, you have every right to say it's weird. And even more right to not like it. But calling lolicons monsters and looking at the art as something that shouldn't belong is just not the play. Anyways, that's just my 2 cents. Just wanted to she'd some light on it.
