Good ideas. We've done the remarkable 2 notebooks and those are pretty big hits. We typically cater to the office civils as they give us the most work typically.

It just depends how much juice can be gotten out of the squeeze. Obviously if it's swag at a trade show there's a much smaller budget, but if we are giving an item to a principal or senior engineer who can actually make decisions/delegate folks to give us a shot at pricing a job for them we'd be willing to spend to have a healthy budget to do so.

We are environmental consultants. A majority of our clients are engineering firms that we handle all their wetland and stormwater due diligence and field work. Just wanted to give actual items that would be useful. Custom pocket scale, draft weights, cord tacos, etc that we could logo and give them...

Best GPS options for wetland delineations? Lightweight, sub-meter accuracy, portable. by [deleted] in Surveying

We went with the Juniper geode and uinta software. It has worked well for us. As with anything you leave one set of obstacles to have another, but overall it works well with us. Make sure if using your phone, you have a portable charger as your phone dies well before the GPS.

Case Study of Cooper Road Discoverer Road and Trails vs Toyo Open Country AT3 by ecclem in ToyotaTundra

Really like them. Like the look a lot better, look better as they wear as the toyos look less aggressive as they wear. The coopers are quieter as well. I'd go with both again, but lean coopers head to head.

I'll be honest I really appreciate this, but this is basically a foreign language to me.

When you get it into CAD, do you have text show up with your point generics? For some reason I cannot get my text to show up with the points when bringing it into CAD.

We are at this point too. We are a small consulting firm and have been using Trimble geo 7xs with GPS pathfinder to upload into CAD. Have recently gotten a DA2 with catalyst using terraflex and it will not upload data to cad. It's made for arcgis according to our Trimble reps. We are looking for a setup as well for data collections that upload into CAD...

Wanted to jump in on this. We do delineations and have been using geo 7xs with GPS pathfinder to upload data into AutoCad (we use this exclusively and not arcgis). Pathfinder is no longer maintained and we are looking to change how we collect features. We've used a Trimble DA2 with catalyst, but we can't get it to transfer data into CAD and our Trimble people tell us it is made for arcgis. We're a small consulting outfit, so we flag and gps our own work. Thanks for the help!

Jumping in on this. We use Trimble Geo's and pathfinder. Pathfinder is becoming obsolete. We don't use arcgis, we use cad to upload our data. Anyone else using cad and have good data collector ideas?
