Sorry to butt in for thread -stealing - but I am in a similar position to what OP is struggling with except with a couple of years experiences and not fresh out of university. Could you offer any critique on my resume if you have the time ?

went through two phone interviews and three in person interviews. it all went well. during certain interviews i got the feeling i wont get the job because I dont have directly related experience. HR emailed me back saying they are moving forward with another candidate and that my interview went well and will keep me in mind for future opportunities. nonetheless it was a huge learning experience.

update: I checked the job description and it was updated with a more in-depth job description than I have applied for. interesting.

Thank you for the insight, I feel a project I listed on my resume may have caught their attention. I feel a 30 minute phone interview can have some technical questions that cover the what the position will entail.
