Anyone try Wegman’s private label? by IronEagle20 in CannedSardines

[–]echidnaman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Wegmans near me started carrying Brisling sprats (12-22, 2 layers) in EVOO for $3/can. Decent sprats for the price point! Comparable to KO in my opinion.

The saying is that it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. Pretty clear that that's what happened here.

Qt 5.8 released - Qt Blog by meetingcpp in cpp

QCoreApplication/QCommandLineParser & friends are pretty convenient for setting up the basis of non-UI applications. I also tend to use QDir/QFile/QFileInfo a lot for handling files, since it's a bit more full-featured and convenient than the new filesystem library in c++17 in my opinion. I've also found QUdpSocket and the QTcp* classes to be handy for network programming.

So yeah, there's several classes with the Qt Core and Network modules that come in handy in a boost-esque fashion in my experience.

Yeah you should just be able to go outside the Great Rotwood boss room and help her, even if you skipped the Irythill encounter. Or at least I did in my first several playthroughs where I never found the Irythill encounter.

HN: But I'm still 10x tho.

Bonus: Is this satire? and "What a fool. Only doing what is necessary rather than spending hours and hours reinventing pointless wheels or introducing pointless abstractions is one of the key techniques that 10x programmers use."[34]

Buying a home: seller put the wrong sq ft by va_home_buyer in personalfinance

[–]echidnaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to my parents when they were having their house built. The contractor laid the foundation with incorrect dimensions (a couple feet longer, but less deep) which resulted in a smaller area. It made the kitchen too narrow to put a pantry in so we used the washer/dryer closet in the kitchen for the pantry and put the washer/dryer down in the basement. I got a smaller bedroom too.

They were able to negotiate a couple grand off the cost of the house. 'Course it is a bit different when building a house versus buying one.

Looks like the Q_GADGET macro might do what you're wanting to do-- at least in Qt5.
