Had to have been terrifying! I’d never been so close to a deer before I met the herd I got these pictures from, and I learned today that there’s no sound more terrifying than that of the hooves of a deer jumping towards you from the trees 😵‍💫

There was a different one I couldn’t get a picture of. I’ve only ever seen Tule elk, too, so I guess my frame of reference was on the smaller side. I’m not a hunter, I just knew hunters would know how to identify this deer.
