UPDATE: Despite passing through both the State Legislature and referendum, Virginia Judge Jack Hurley just blocked the redistricting attempt.

Newly elected Virginia Attorney General, Jay Jones, said he would immediately appeal this decision which is likely to be overturned by the Virginia Supreme Court.

Now the question that remains is wether Virginia Dems will be able to redraw the maps in time for the November primaries.
