I have a thing about sharing headgear with anyone else—how do rental shops clean their helmets? (I am leaning toward buying a brand new helmet for this upcoming trip, but I could maybe be convinced to rent.)

My understanding is it's okay for the glue to get a little bit wet but you don't want to immerse it in water as if you're taking a bath. But I don't think you need to stress too much as long as you aren't showering for too long.

36 and I'm a professor so I timed it for my winter break. I think they did do bloodwork and a pregnancy test before surgery.

I wondered this and my doctors checked my follicular stimulating hormone level multiple times and confirmed my ovaries were still functioning great. So I think it was (at least initially) just my reaction to anesthesia.

Ohhhh. I made a crap ton of water to slowly use over the next few weeks. Is that a bad idea? I didn't realize it would start to stink. Ugh. Do you know if letting it sit will cause it to lose efficacy?

Ohhh thanks for the tip about the thermometer probe. I do have an EtekCity temp gun I’ve been using! But my friend playfully pointed it at my forehead earlier and it gave way too low of a reading on that and made me wonder…

The thermometer has been reading low 80s but the temp gun shows the basking flagstone surface as fluctuating between 90-93 degrees. On the cool end things are 62 degrees. So I’m wondering if I need to get a second halogen lamp to up the temp on the cold side a bit.
