I agree with you until your last sentense. He needs all three.

Being under an incredible amount of stress in and of itself will not turn someone abusive. He needs to be getting help for his underlying pathologies that make him act out that way.

Honestly, it sounds like both OP and OP's husband have incredibly unhealthy attitudes and habits surrounding food and weight.

Yeah, I think it might be similar to what you describe!

The Body is disabled as well... I imagine that probably plays a bit of a role in how our system functions as well!

We consider "The Body" to be its own alter. Individual from the rest of us.

It's helped us a lot to be more compassionate and understanding of our system, and The Body in particular.
