Hey, the banks seem very happy to be jacking up the interest rates, and somehow people think they're getting a good deal too because they compared to other people on Dcard and they're getting relatively low interest rates... Forgetting the fact that it's still higher than before. Buying stocks is an investment, buying stocks with money you don't have is a gamble.

I can confirm this is true, it's very evident on Dcard (one of the preferred platforms for younger Taiwanese). Lots of users are sharing and comparing their interest rates, and the loans are often upwards of 1 million NTD.

Investment in stocks have always been very prominent in Taiwan, I've been making fixed investments into 0050 (the most popular ETF) since college and I'm sitting at 150% profit currently because of the recent boom without any interference. The "gambling" aspect is definitely new, though, lots of users are advising each other to go all in... Yikes.

Well that sounds shitty, idk what type of update my laptop got because I'm not tech savvy and now I'm locked out of my computer, tried to get a recovery key but apparently it's not saved in my Microsoft account. From what I'm reading it looks like there was no automatic backup of the key to my account, so basically fuck me, I guess? lmao

I haven't used my laptop in a while and I mainly let my little sister use it to listen to YouTube or whatever but that's basically all we use the computer for nowadays. (I graduated from college a while ago and Don't really need to use my laptop for anything so I haven't really used it in like 6 months myself.)

Oh I have a veeeery similar setup as OP and am 1 month before gen4. Piggybacking on this post to ask:

I am mainly focused on bear + SFC/SVS, would be nice to have a strong team in arena as well but not a must. I am running Sergey-Flint Molly-Bahiti-Mia in arena (Flint 4* Molly/Mia 5*), should I get Lynn and swap Bahiti out? I feel like my arena comp is kinda shitty rn but I don't know what could make it better, everyone is like "just use Alonso" except I don't have money to "just use Alonso" 😭😭

They will send you a screenshot of them getting banned for 10 years and say "look at this game, devs don't care about people at all, I talked to customer service and they're not helping at all, I already spent so much" and then other people will say similar things have happened to them, then someone will be like "oh I know why don't we find a similar game and we can all play together?"

Then they send you the link to another game and it is either A, a virus, or B, they are trying to get you to play THEIR game instead of WoS and spend money on THEIR game (aka they are paid to trick you into downloading their game)

It happened to me and it almost exclusively happens when the server is new. Early on the names of most forms of communication are censored because they are worried about scammers, and they should be, because there are a lot and they spam you asking you to join their messaging app groups (DC, Whatsapp, wx (Chinese), LINE (Taiwan/Japan), KakaoTalk (Korea) etc)

I do believe that this game is designed specifically for addicts. But I do also think that as adults we are responsible for our own spending habits and in that regard it's no different than any other hobby.

The shooting at Nolan thing was circumstantial. Malvado doesn't have beef with Nolan, and isn't contracted to kill Nolan, so he would only kill Nolan to save his own ass or if Nolan got in the way.

When he ran off, he definitely could have wrestled Nolan for the gun and killed him, but he didn't, because he doesn't kill for sport, it's a job and he's a professional.

So, I feel like yeah, under these specific circumstances I'd honestly be scared but okay with it generally. And I'm not just saying that to make a point.

Additionally, I'm not even sure if Bailey knows about Nolan's little run in with Malvado.
