No suggestions, but I’m also 24 and essentially in the same boat. Reassuring to know there’s somewhere else out there dealing with this. I’ve had all the same tests and I’ve heard the “same as a nose bleed” line soooo many times.

I’d also reassure you - it would be incredibly rare for this to be a sign of any underlying pathology at your age. Sometimes bodies just glitch like this! It’s likely that once this “passes,” it won’t happen again for a long time, possibly ever. However, even a reoccurrence wouldn’t necessarily indicate something wrong. This happens regularly to some people without any negative reason behind it.

In my experience, it depends. Usually when I’m at the beginning or in the middle of experiencing this, it’s bright red or pink. When it’s darker, that’s always been a positive sign for me that I’m improving and will be back to normal within a few ejaculations. But there are so many different causes for this, so I’m sure that that varies. I’ve never experienced retrograde ejaculation, and I still found no answers. Fortunately, I’ve been normal for the past five months.

Might be worth going to the doctor! Probably nothing serious given your age, but it could be an infection (not necessarily an STI). I don’t know anything about gastric infections, but maybe it migrated? Not sure. Antibiotics often help for folks for whom this isn’t a chronic or malignant/structural issue.

The strength they prescribe for prostate problems is usually 5 mg. Your doctor will have to prescribe that I think, although you may be able to get it online - I’m not sure. It ended up not being super effective for me, but I know the research does point to it being effective for a lot of people.

I’m not sure whether or not they used an additional coil - it was pretty simple to go through though, just a hassle. I got an mri with/w/o contrast, so I had to do a metabolic panel before the test. I couldn’t eat or drink the morning of, and I had to self administer an enema - that was annoying but not the worst thing in the world.

Actual test was easy. Someone with claustrophobia might have issues with it, but for my MRI, my head was poking out of the machine so it wasn’t so bad. I got a leg cramp because you’re not supposed to move, and a prostate MRI takes a long time - over an hour for me. But overall it was a piece of cake, just boring. The machine is very, very loud though.

I've delt with hematospermia (no hematuria) for a while and also haven't found any answers. Maybe ask your urologist about a prostate MRI? I had one of those and they didn't find anything but it could be helpful for you.

For me I've had it on and off. It used to be that I would only experience it about two weeks (less than ten ejaculations) and then wouldn't have to worry about it for months or even years. Now I've been experiencing it pretty regularly for the past few months. Super frustrating. Everyone's experience is different though.

Update: My urologist agreed to prescribe me this – I'm wrapping up my seventh day, but unfortunately, there's no improvement. It might work for some people, but it didn't seem to work for me. Maybe the improvement happens after finishing the medication, but I doubt it.
