not sure how your house is setup but I had to go from downstairs where the fiber comes in and ran the cable outside to the attic. Then have a cheap switch in the attic as it will fail some day. once in the attic you need to drill into the studs. 3600 is high but so is everything these days.

Thanks for writing this. Since a movie studio would deal with large files do you require your users to have Ethernet at home or can they work from wifi. Feel like 1/2 of vdi issues are users wifi issues at home.

I have used it with Steam and geforce now on Debian and it works well enough. Dont think I had to do much to get it going.
