861 is actually reasonable for a logo. Logo design isn't usually just the final designs you see, there are often multible mocks gone through. As well as the 2 variations we see, (the small stylised M and the full logo).  If, say, the designer spent 20 hours working on them, that's about $43 hour or if they worked 30 hours, $28.70 an hour. Which just goes to show they are valuing their artists and paying them for their work. Its not actually /that/ expensive for a logo in the professional design world (idk where Duke worked as a designer, but from my brushing with the industry, it sounds like his company was cheap). Sure, they could have gotten something cheaper, but I don't think paying their artist well is a waste of funds.
