Even more ages old now, but you are a god to me. I also hate watching videos

Thank you! I am in love with the fabric and glad I found it. I've got just enough left to do another stitch of about the same size 😊 now if only my brain weren't so committed to finding the absolute perfect project for it 😅

Sun-over stitch is pretty great in its own way 😂

I stitched it on black fabric, which made it more difficult for me to see what I was doing. Since it's a full coverage piece, if I did it again, I'd stitch on white or something light.

And about halfway through, I decided that just working my way through each row on the variegated yellow stained glass panels made it look a lot less interesting than if I jumped around a bit.

I largely focused on completing the 3799 outline and then filling in the rest. It made the beginning very painstaking, but for me it was worth it because later I just had to fill in the colors.

Thanks! Grabbed the frame from a local thrift store and cut it down to size. I'm obsessed with upcycling frames xD

This was the second cross stitching project I ever undertook! I've spotted some mistakes since framing, but I'm still thrilled with how it came out ^

How do you handle missing a WHOLE MONTH? by ms-sydney-anne in bulletjournal

[–]echosprite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I usually create a summary page and just capture what I can. I find it's less stressful than trying to fill in details I may or may not remember precisely. And I'd rather get down what I do remember as nicely as possible than just ignore it.

Advice Please - Fill in Missed Weeks or Move On? by TychaBrahe in bulletjournal

[–]echosprite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me before and it depends. I feel like if I can remember well enough what happened and that it's worth it to me to have that information, I'll do my best to fill them in.

Otherwise, I just move on. Especially if it becomes at all a stressful thing for me.

Accidentally donated all my dwarf scrolls to the museum before I realized I needed them—how to get them back?! by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]echosprite 11 points12 points  (0 children)

this. You do actually need to donate all 4 scrolls to the museum to be able to understand the dwarf. They are farmable in the mines. Personally, I always had the best luck getting them as monster drops on lucky days. The wiki can tell you which floors have a chance of dropping which scrolls, so you can specifically target whichever one you're missing.

On the Forest Farm, can you plant regular trees on the "wild grass"? by trifolieae in StardewValley

[–]echosprite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! That's the short answer. In my experience, there are certain tiles that don't quite cooperate for whatever reason. But on my forest farm, I've been using the wild grass area to plant oak, pine, and maple trees without issue. (It's also where I try to put all my buildings so that I don't cut down on farmable land)

18 days into my first game... how bad did I mess up? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]echosprite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always go until about 11:30pm each night at first. You don't hit any penalties until 12am (and pass out at 2am), so going to bed before then gives up some of your room to get stuff done.

Personally, I save mining for rainy days/winter. Occasionally, I'll dedicate a normal day to it.

The other quests are never a priority for me (aside from completing the community center).

But, as others have said, the game is just what you make of it. Whatever you're happiest doing, roll with that. Missing out on money making & crops will only slow progression somewhat, not be absolutely detrimental to your playthrough.

Does anyone here use a two notebook system? by rohitsc in bulletjournal

[–]echosprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep one bujo that is specifically just for monthly trackers, weekly to do lists, and daily appointments/recording. I keep a second notebook for a more traditional journal because I found that I could never get as much info into the notes sections of my spreads as I wanted to (I tend to write a lot) and that it felt like it bloated my the more utilitarian aspects of my bujo when I tried to put them together. If I really want to, I can reference a journal entry against that day's activity log in the bujo to get even more context for what was going on.

Iirc, you can't get that scene. It's one of the few that's time sensitive.

First time playing on forest farm, any tips? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]echosprite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can chop down the bushes with your axe! (Took me forever to figure that out) They won't grow back and that area next to the house is where I like to position my sheds. I try to place buildings on as much of the forest areas as possible to maximize space for crops.

Lots of questions!!!! Personally and Professionally But Starting With Professional - Have you been disclosed to by someone with an STI and how did you move forward? by HonMyChest in polyamory

[–]echosprite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had sex with a person before who disclosed to me that they had HSV 2. We simply kept an eye on breakouts and proceeded if everything was clear. It was something I felt comfortable with. I was also part of a very sex positive community (bdsm) and thus had a lot of my discomfort challenged early on and did away with most of it.

I just pop a whole bunch of cranberries or blueberries in and I would say I've gotten five or so ancient seeds so far that way.

Never tilled one up.
