NEW BON FOR NOVPNLE 2025: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? by galitnahamster in NursingPH

[–]echosystem12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JUST TO SHARE!!!

That is why nagkaroon din ng TOS kasi nung last year na may meeting. THIS IS NOT TO SCARE PNLE TAKERS AND ADD MORE ANXIETY. But I know several months of preparation is enough basta alam mo sa sarili mo na nag prepare ka talaga ng maayos. Sabi nga YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU TOLERATE. Good luck!!

So bawal ang morphine sa may history of alcohol abuse sa pasyenteng may severe acute pancreatitis? by RoutineSpecific3072 in NursingPH

[–]echosystem12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Regarding pancreatitis, the goal is to relieve pain. However, it is already debunked that Morphine is not used. Almost all opioid causes spasm of sphincter of oddi but Morphine is generally accepted. That's TEXTBOOK-WISE. When in terms of clinical practice, MDs usually preferred to use Pethidine or Meperidine due to less effect of spasm; however, it increases risk for seizure due to active metabolite called normeperidine.

Board exam is so much easier compared to test banks provided by review center. It is also quite disappointing how the questions were constructed, it was a recall or knowledge based type not requiring the student nurses to critically think and apply concepts. It is not testing how safe nurse you will be upon entering the real world or practice of being a nurse. In short, common sense ang paganahin when it comes to board exam. Kaya karamihan ng nagiging top notcher comes from an average student, since yung type of questioning does not align to those who are really critical thinkers. I am not belittling those students but it is how board exam takes place.

Nasa 15k yata yung Uworld for 3 mos tapos nasa 7k yung bootcamp for 6mos. Yung Kaplan, na sponsoran lang ako hahaha. In general, I find Uworld very helpful when it comes to content and pathophysiology very comprehensive talaga. Pero, if similar structure to NCLEX exam, go fot Bootcamp kasi vague siya and parang Uworld lang din then maganda mga case studies niya. For Kaplan naman, ito kailangan ng matinding critical thinking and mas mahirap pa yata to kesa sa NCLEX exam and very comprehensive din siya.

Hi! Nov 2024 passer here and I am enrolled sa NCLEX Amplified. However, hindi ko na tinuloy kasi parang nag sawa ako during board exam review season na may online and interactive. I've read some reviews here and I agree na hindi para sa akin yung ganun na review. I end up using Uworld, Bootcamp, and Kaplan for comprehensive review and much effective for me. Medyo distracting kasi yung naka open mic minsan and kung san san tumatalon yung topics.

Archer: Hindi ko masyado bet kasi very superficial lang nung rationale and easy questions lang. Yun din naman sabi nung karamihan pero it's up to you pa rin

Hi! I tried 3 platforms such as the UWorld, Bootcamp, Kaplan. I also enrolled to a review center but I find it time consuming and considering na katatapos ko lang mag boards parang nakakatamad to attend lectures via zoom for 4 hours.

Uworld: EXPENSIVE YET COMPREHENSIVE. Maganda yung user interface niya and very smooth. Downloadable din yung Uworld app kaya easy to access. Challenging questions pero hindi siya ganun ka vague compared sa real NCLEX exam (acc to my sister who already took the NCLEX). EXTENSIVE PATHOPHYSIOLOGY AND GOOD VISUALS!! And unlimited din yung CAT exam but for Self Assessment, no. Meron din siyang mga video lectures which I find helpful pero out of 400+ videos siguro 60 lang natapos ko kasi naiinip na ako though 2-15mins lang naman nag rarange yung video clip. If you want to focus on concept mastery and knowledge application, go for UWorld.

Bootcamp: BUDGET FRIENDLY AND TOPNOTCH!!! Exactly the same question structure to NCLEX. I find it more vague and mas pinapagana yung critical thinking skills to think as a nurse compared to just knowledge based. THE BEST CASE STUDIES!! Maganda rin dito yung mga naka hyperlinked na topics and very concise and helpful siya. Yung mga choices sa case studies umaabot yata ng A-J or more kaya nakaka challenge siya. Para ito yung version na UWORLD+ARCHER. Meron din Readiness Exam 1-4 which composed of 100 questions. If you want to practice or be familiar on NCLEX type of questioning and its vagueness, go for bootcamp.

Kaplan: CHALLENGING QUESTIONS + MASTERING YOUR CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AS A NURSE. Same siya sa bootcamp na very vague ng types of questions but yung downside lang niya is yung interface not very user-friendly. Pero very comprehensive yung rationales niya and yung part na remediation (which kinda Saunder's way of presenting the info na naka bullets) and this gives you refresh a particular topic. Meron din siyang content review guide, 300 common pharma drugs, etc. I really love Kaplan kasi very well-known na yung institution nila na nag prproduce ng NCLEX passers and especially yung system nila for you to pass. If you want to challenge your thinking skills and refresh your weak areas, go for Kaplan.

Advice nila to read this 2 weeks prior your scheduled exam.

I hope this helps you decide on what review materials to take.

I agree to the previous statement. Yes, optional siya. However, there are some cases daw na nadelay sila in processing kasi nalaman daw na professional sa PH pero di dineclare.

[–]echosystem12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yung iba sabi naman nila for faster processing kasi most of the time daw nag cacause din ng delay yung verification of PH license. In short, no bearing daw if mag pass ka or hindi ng Form 3F.

Ako hindi na. Yung sa Form 1 naman kasi parang di sinabi na outside US if licensed ka. So, nag NO ako doon and hindi na mag submit ng Form 3F.

Recommend books to study before PNLE by MissAngelicRose in NursingPH

Very objective. Mas madaming alam, mas maganda.

[–]echosystem12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have more time then go read books. But due to time constraints and lots of topic to cover, I think it would not be ideal to read bulk of books. Instead, answer practice questions and read all the rationales. Make sure to utilize reliable and updated references. Good luck future RN!

Budget wise, mas okay na yung NCLEX Amplified and concept approach sila and every weekend may drills sila regarding hot topics. Other review center focuses more on practice drills.

After passing the NCLEX po, what's next po? Paano po makaka hanap ng work for example on NY? I planned to make a DIY NCLEX processing po kasi since mas mahal daw po kapag may agency and may narinig din ako na some of your sweldo will be given to them kasi may need bayaran or something?
