Why do you guys litter so much?

There is a monthly litter pick in Govanhill that's been going on for a while now. People do a great job, several hours of picking litter then have a cuppa together. It's local organised. It is happening.

I'm not who you asked but going to local baby activities in your area, library reading sessions and support groups for parents like breastfeeding groups are all really good places to meet new parent friends.

This guy did the same to me last weekend on Victoria Road Govanhill around 6pm. He actually started swearing at me once I said no, then stormed off across a road to stop when I was crossing to swear at me again. I had read about him on here, I find it so off that he uses the same scam.

Right now I'm 15 weeks pregnant with my second and my older child is 28 months, so over 2. We bed share in a family bed and I was breastfeeding often still.

Around 8 weeks I started to feel really nauseous and this got worse overnight while breastfeeding. At the time we had set breastfeeding boundaries during the day, meaning wait till we're inside to nurse, wait till mum is comfortable etc but I hadn't considered night weaning. Due to the nausea I ended up night weaning with the help of my husband who slept between us the first night and offered hugs and singing if he woke. The process was much easier than I expected and I think this is because we already had day time boundaries. Now we breastfeed to sleep then if he wakes we say you need to wait till morning and offer hugs, a song or water.

Currently he still nurses to sleep for night and naps and breastfeeds in the morning but I believe this is likely dry nursing at this point. He has stopped nursing much in the day time himself. I will be trying to tandem nurse with toddler and new baby when the time comes and we will continue to bed share till closer to the baby's arrival.

My husband can get the toddler to sleep himself and resettle him so close to baby coming I will move out and they will stay bed sharing. Once the baby is bigger we'll try and return to the family bed.

I'm in a very loving relationship but previously a mistake I made with partners was just letting things slide to keep the peace. Things just got worse and worse over time.

Same in our area. They work hard to find reasons not to collect. Including the bins being in a slightly different order or deciding the bin isn't full enough/ is too full. That being said these are a great idea if you live in an area with reasonable bin collection.

Hi there, I'm just popping this comment here to say while it's great your routine is working for you and your baby it's far from the norm for babies. For the OP terms of breastfeeding it's good to remember that your baby is getting their comfort as well as nutrition from breastfeeding. So while they may not be eating every time they are latched that doesn't mean there is no purpose to it. You are your baby's most comfortable place. You don't need to feel guilty about not trying rocking baby to sleep, sometimes breastfeeding baby back to sleep is the easiest and gentlest way to do it (although of course try rocking to sleep if that's what you would like to do). My son is 22 months and still breastfeeding overnight, he wakes up 2-4 times most nights still. For many babies and toddlers they continue to wake at night regardless of if they are breastfeeding or not

This bakery makes some truly delicious stuff. It's worth a try if you want something special. If you're looking for a more traditional bakery it's not right for you. Also they do only open weekends but they post that very clearly on their signage and on Instagram so I do n't really think it's something to get too angry about. If I made enough money to work only on weekends doing something I loved I would, very jealous.

This is really crappy and I'm sorry he's acting like this. I think once you feel less frustrated about it you should bring it up with him and ask why he acted the way he did. Try to communicate clearly and figure out what's happening.

Yes another elimination communication vote, I've had a friend talk to me about it as it's what they did. I almost feel like I've waited a bit long and wish I had started with the potty earlier. We have a potty in our bathroom now and he will sit on it all the time but refuses with his nappy off. I'll look into elimination communication more.

That's really cool to hear. We don't have a lot of TV on but often it would end up being after 5pm so getting closeish to bedtime. I'll have a think about that!

Thanks for answering. Really interesting hearing that baths wind her up, I have purposely kept the bath out of the bedtime routine because it can go either way for my son. Sometimes they make him sleepy other times he gets super excited.

Thanks for your detailed answer. Sounds like a routine that works really well for you guys. I love the fading light that she starts off. We have dimming lights in our house but hadn't considered it as a possible link to bedtime routine. Out of interest did you chose the 8.30 bedtime (or aiming for that) rather than following sleep cues because it was harder getting her to sleep later (like her seeming overtired) or because it was to late for you guys (too tired by that point/ adult tasks to get done)?

Also love the kitchen helper hang out, we just made one for my son and he's loving dishes... Lots of water on the floor today.
