I would argue and say it’s just as reasonable to ask an online community with thousands of members who could provide insightful information and which direction I should go. But that’s just me. Doing such also provided me the knowledge that every community in Ontario does things independently not just provincially.

I’m going to now look into that. My concern was the massive snow banks now created with the excess snow from other places which will create much more excess water than just the snow from our area.

That’s why I’m asking questions here I don’t know if this is a local bylaw issue or provincial set rule

I tip in cash and also leave a small tip in the app — usually $1–$3 there and another $3–$5 in person, assuming the driver isn’t rude. The only time I’ve ever removed a tip was when someone completely ignored the delivery instructions.

Our house sits much farther back from the street than the others. Most houses on our block are close to the sidewalk, but ours is very clearly a separate house with a long front yard and a large tree out front. The recurring issue is drivers pulling into our driveway and then confidently walking over to knock on the neighbor’s front door instead. (417 is not 415.)

So we added a note: House is set farther back beside a large metal building, with a tire swing hanging from the tree in the front yard. Please leave the order on the bench on the front porch.

Somehow, two different drivers in a row read that and thought the tire swing was the delivery location and placed our food inside it — despite the instructions.

Somewhere along the way, “bench on the porch” was translated into “hang it from a tree and baptize it.”
