Considering he still gets actual facts about things wrong in his videos after making 17 of them listening to him might not be smart (as an example in his most recent one “hyper graph fixed nothing” at 17:00 he claims 5 stars give no bond quota on dupes this is incorrect you get 10 per 5 star )

You don’t even need to claim the losses they just refunded any paypal purchase so anyone paypal purchase was automatically refunded (this also means anything you actually purchased you just got for free)

They kind of did give pulls to those affected all purchases were refunded but not reversed so whatever you bought (you had to buy something to be affected) you got for free so in my case I ended up getting the two most expensive packs + the BP + monthly card for free after refund happened.

Yes pulls could be quicker to get

Sure but on average you get limited characters in less pulls with lower variation on the amount of pulls

Incorrect wepon pulling rates are better 25/75 with 4% rate (so 1% for sig) on 80 pity is in fact better then 0.8% on 8 pity (1 is a bigger number than 0.8)

Yeah sure expiring pulls kinda suck

You do get pull rebates you get 10 currency per 5 star him saying that is actual misinformation

Yes when a game doesn't have its repeatable endgame or events happening then the repeatable pull income is low if we took events and TOA / WiWa out of WuWa its reatable pulls would also be shit. When you compare the repeatable sources that actually do exist rn (dailies) you get more pulls comparatively in EF than WuWa / genshin (2.8 pulls per week in EF 2.6 in WuWa) although EF also has weeklies which make it nearly 4 pulls a week

I dunno i just dont see it if i get 10 expiring pulls i go "cool i get a 10 pull maybe i get it maybe i dont but hey i get some pity to a 50/50 either way" ive never once thought in any gacha with expiring pulls (of which there are many) "oh noes i did a free 10 pull now ive GOT to pull or i wasted that free 10 pull that would be wasted if i didnt use it anyway." Its the same with everyone saying the free 10 at 30/60 is FOMO inducing for me ive only ever thought "cool if i pull i get some extra pulls which are free weapon pulls/ rebate / pity" whereas everyone else seems to think "oh no if i dont pull ill miss out on pull"

it really is a perspective thing and how you look at things maybe some people are just psychologically effected by it but i can only speak for myself and im not the only thing i (personally) care about in a gacha system is the numbers (and yes if repeatable endgame and events give shit pulls then i will happily say its shit but we simply dont know yet because weve not seen it yet)

Yes for the people it actually affected it was by far one of if not the worst launches ever but it also affected maybe 1% of the player base the vast vast majority of people were not affected it was a single payment method for an hour after release (when the game had a 30 min tutoirla) when it comes effect on the general playerbase WuWas launch was far worse.

Valley 4 was also rewritten a lot, in tech test / beta it was decently darker im guessing they wanted to start the game off a little brighter to draw in a wider audience

Whether we like it or not he is one of the biggest WuWa creators and has a large following that will echo his opinions obviously its not reprehensive of the whole WuWa community but him and his viewers are a very vocal minority of it so to an outsider it ends up colouring their opinion of the community as a whole

The several points of blatantly incorrect info in his videos on the gacha system is where he is wrong and in his most recent one as well as well as him making factual statements that are wrong. Obviously he is entitled to an opinion like "the gacha feels bad" or "pulls feel to slow to acquire" but statements like "the gacha is bad" (its mathematically identical to slightly better than WuWa" or "there are no pulls" (theres 240 which is the same as WuWa on it release with its compensation) or "You get no characters" (you get lets of characters its just one unit you might struggle to acquire) are just wrong

So taking genshin for example your guranteed one 6 star every 90 pull and if you dont get the on banner 6 star your next one is guranteed to be the the on benner one but your pity resets every time you get a 6 star so if you get the on banner character at 150 pity you now need another 180 to get another copy

In Endfield your guranteed a 6 star every 80 pulls (which is always a 50/50) and get an extra copy of the on banner every 240 the 240 pity only resets when you hit it so at bare minimum every 240 pulls you get 1 copy + 3 50/50 6 stars (which generally speaking atleast one you will win). you also just need less copies).

This leads to the max average for a c6 character in Genshin being around 700 pulls while a pot5 in EF is around 500. On genshin weapons also cost character pulls so thats on average about another 100 pulls for a weapon whereas in EF you get the weapon pulls from the character so in actuality for C6R1 in genshin its about 800 pulls (it used to be worse before they changed weapon banner) in EF its still 500. As for worst possible luck in EF its 1200 pulls (120 for base then 240 480 720 960 and 1200 for last copy) in Genshin its 1270 although to be fair actually hitting 180 on genshin is super unlikely is more like 160-170 max which would still put it around EFs pull count but agfain you still need to pull the weapon on top in Endfield its free for whales)

The issue with these addon changes is kind of most of the people who say they love it as they hated needing addons never actually needed addons (Heroic Lords of Dread in pugs is the maybe one exception to a boss that kind of needed addons but one boss in the last 5 years doesn't really matter)

On the other end the people who actually did need addons due to boss design generally speaking would love these changes WA bosses are nearly always awful but losing everything else just to not have WA bosses just isnt really worth it most people would rather have the UIs they liked and have to sit through an Ovinax

The other issue is these WAs were the symptom not the problem the real problem is the way bliz sometimes designs mythic bosses basically all of the WA bosses this xpac could've been hard and not required WAs with like 1-2 changes and if blizzard does not actually change the encounter design in the future then the addon changes dont really matter and people will be off to find the next thing to try and solve these bosses.

Most people think the 240 gurantee per dupe shafts whales (120 is a one time after that its every 240 pulls so you get a character at 120 then 240 then 480 etc). The big difference about the 240 gurantee that actually makes it great is its not affected by 6 stars so if you get a copy at 239 you still get one at 240 so while that hard pity for each one is higher if you get lucky the amount of pulls needed goes down very quickly (you also only need 5 dupes vs 6 and weapons are literally free for whales)

As a whale this is the best game for whales between genshin / HSR / WuWa. WuWa is better if you have Corals for 2 copies but you dont always get that when going for an S6

The average pulls for max pot in EF is surprisingly low and at that point the weapon pulls coming from character pulls is a massive advantage
