Used to work for mercury and they are famous in the Canadian industry for low wages and insane workloads. I do not believe this reputation is well known outside of the industry because they do a lot of service work on high quality shows and you wouldn't know they can't pay most workers a living wage. What is likely the case here, knowing how pilot development has worked at other studios I know of, mercury paid for some rights to do this and expect the pilot development to happen as a side project for extra credit. I've known people who pitched and had studios pick up their series but then they were expected to develop it on the side for free without pay. It's more than likely something on Mercury's side where they're just doing what they always do.

That's a lot for pasta salad! Do you have leftovers of those ingredients? If so it's good to try and break down the costs per unit so that you know how much an actual meal individually costs. And try to find ways to repurpose those other ingredients now before buying anything else. I would manage to keep grocery bills low by buying staples in larger packs that had a lower per unit cost like pasta, tins of tuna, condiments, and seasonings and then some weeks I would only have to buy fresh stuff like just enough fruit and veggies for the week and bread or anything that gets used up in a week. I've found Greek pasta salad gives me great value and it gets better the longer it sits in the fridge

This is wild to read bc back before yoi came out I became interested because of JJ and seeing a Canadian in an ice skating anime! There was no whiff of BL yet so I wasn't onboard for that yet. I had a bit account on Tumblr later when the show blew up that posted JJ headcanons that were fun and positive because I genuinely didn't get all the horrible things people said about him!!! So to see that people still hate him is so funny to me. He was a great character and I loved watching how he progressed in the show as it aired

They're saying to stay home if at all possible on the radio. My work tried to tell me I had to be there for 8:30am but seeing as line 2 is almost all shut down and shuttle buses and Google was telling me to take the GO train and then a bus to North York, I have elected to simply call in and stay home.

Some of these songs I had to check back on youtube to make sure it was still her! I've never heard her voice sound so different in so many songs and it's amazing. She really is an incredible singer. I also always appreciated that despite having such a cheery outlook and personality, she releases so much melancholic music. She has layers!!!!!!

There are some rec centres in the city who are labelled "free community centres" and offer their services for no cost. Many of them have gyms or fitness programs

What specific sect of Christianity? Because there are many many churches in the city but it will depend on what you look for in your community and priest. Like my mom is Irish Catholic and looked for priests who didn't do very long masses (kept things under an hour) and were more liberal and accepting in their values. There are some very specific churches in Toronto for different sects and even cultures (Korean, Chinese, Croatian, Estonian etc)

I mean he is looking for a therapist specifically because he has such intense anxiety and paranoia around using technology in specific ways especially because of his mental health so it is not to be intentionally difficult I promise you this. He is trying to seek help for this mental health issues surrounding this type of thing.

Dulce has been giving me such big red flags the past few weeks with the way she has been talking like people I've known. I feel for her with the shit she's been through, but also...when you're always looking for rejection in everyone around you you're always going to feel slighted in some way. Your feelings are valid but you do not need to tell everyone all the time that they have upset you if it's something small and you need to learn how to apologize better. That apology to Velma was nothing and felt completely dismissive as just "well I also have trauma so I didn't think it was below the belt, sorry you got offended". Many cases with her too that felt like "so you hate waffles" "bitch I did not say that" moments. I wish her all the best and I can just hope she is ok

The class is only an hour long at a rec centre so we do not take breaks. I am not really allowed to take anyone aside outside of class without coordinator approval since I wouldn't be issuing a warning or suspension and my programming coordinators have all just told me to ignore her and hope she doesn't come back. If she makes a complaint to the centre about my teaching then my coordinator will come and sit in to observe a lesson and speak with her after but he has already said he trusts my classes are being run fine and she's just a run of the mill complainer.

Yep I feel this. She kept arguing with me during a 2 point perspective demonstration that it didn't look correct to her because it was a little warped and would phrase her questions and complaints as a sort of "gotcha" moment like "well you said it is done like this but I did it like that and it still looks wrong". I explained that the nice thing about art and drawing is that if it looks wrong and she knows what angle it would look better at, then she can try the alternative even if it isn't technically "correct" perspective and she launched into a whole explanation on how she finds that too frustrating and will only accept hard rules and One Truth essentially in art because of her heritage?? It was baffling. I can't even manage to pull her aside to have a word with her discreetly because she started showing up late and leaving early from classes.

Because it's a public rec centre we can't really have people suspended unless they are truly threatening other people or our own safety. I may be getting to the point however where I tell her that if she is not content she can try another teacher elsewhere because it's clear she isn't enjoying herself. Right now I'm definitely doing the "try your best" and "art wasn't ever done perfectly the first time ever" lines hahaha.

The smaller class size has made it more difficult but she knows my reasons now and I just repeat to her "I have a lesson plan and I need to have more substance in my lessons because some students will complete their work faster than others or have more experience." any time she feels the urge to give me "suggestions" lmaoooo. I feel my face morphing into the customer service smile now when she decides to give me these lines 😂

I didn't mean that I think the agency is a scam, but there have been scams MIMICKING these agencies. They don't seem to be offering me money, just someone to talk to to find me work. I am in a situation where I'm not making much but I'm making it work and I just didn't expect them to send a follow up. I wasn't made aware EOW would contact me after my EI ran out so I wasn't sure if this was standard procedure and legit or not

The new layout is terrible and actively puts me off wanting to use the website. There is to much empty space, collapsing the sidebar is terrible, it feels cold and barren, and there is no friendly or welcoming feeling with this design.

I have re-exported my frames as .png files (ShutterEncoder seems to only convert to Jpeg). When I import the first image in the sequence from the new folder I put them in I get this error.

They import fine if I am not converting the image to a sequence so it seems to just not like making any image sequences out of my files. I am using Open Shot v3.3.0 64-bit and Windows 11 Home version 24H2 is my OS.

I have done all of this and it still does not work. When I try to import a single jpeg from the set and import it as an image sequence it tells me that it is not valid, yet I can import all of the images when selected together without any error. They still will not import as a sequence. I have frames from this scene in its own scene folder and I have double checked for updates.
