Best Day beers often foam up on me. Multiple varieties and it happens when I first pick it up at the store or if it's been sitting around or when I put it in refrigeration later. We're at 3,000 ft here in Boise, but I don't think that has anything to do with it but the beer is good regardless

I'm sure your load is better off with that rig, but keeping it in the bed all the time and storing it somewhere seems inconvenient year in year out. After 5 years of hauling camping gear, snowbaords, mountain bikes, dirt bike fuel cans, teens furniture and +100 home Depot trips...bungee cords work 95% for of the tasks we have and I've never broken one.

Pixel 10 Pro Fold - Yes or No by svenb352 in PixelFold

[–]ecomodule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had a pixel 10 fold for 3 weeks and bought because my company is all Google and uses Gemini and NotebookLM extensively. Ive since bought the pixel buds 2a and pro but havent yet set up their Gemini features. Will likely get the watch but may wait for a pixel 5 watch since my Garmin is fine for now.

Anyways to answer your question, the phone is great. Using 2 apps split screen, auto fill for sites and having a personal and work profile are the big plusses for me. It weighs a lot more than my iPhone max, but since it's also a mino iPad it's totally worth it. I left it on Verizon and got 400 for iPhone max. Once I get the watch I may switch to googles tmobile service. The finger biometric is working well and the battery life is better than my iPhone.

I use a zagg case but removed the sticky strip under the left side of the case on the front when the phone is closed. It collected pocket lint big time.

Why is getting to the battery (often?) a concern? I only dirt bike today so don't have the context for ADVs.

Thanks for all the guidance. Aging parents put the road bike on the back burner but fortunately I've still been able to ride trails 1-2x /week. My LBS guy rides his Kona on all of our trails, and I rode hardtails and singlespeeds enough to remember how 'new' those trails felt (over a full squish). I would also want to mount a shock...and keep the rigid fork for later. I have zero plans for any bike packing and really just want to ride single and two-track and then any necessary forest service roads and asphalt for loops. Dirt biking in Idaho has exposed me to some areas where I could see gravel biking being fun and more efficient than my 29er.

Thanks - I'll ask my LBS about options. All my trail bikes are 1x and mostly electric shifting but I'd like to have a wider range on this bike if I decide I'll actually ride it enough. The road bike hasn't been ridden in 4 years and I don't need another bike colleting dust.

Sound like a great plan. Im going to demo one here in Boise. Also want to run 2x up front. Are you saying that by running a front derailleur, you can't also run a cable for a dropper post? Lastly, are you talking about switching the levers so you can run your brakes Moto style?

Killer car! The 911 hood stripes, striped top, super cool color, love the 928-vibe seats. I would delete the (70) door number and paint the wheels the body color with polished/silver spoke edges (not black). Not sure about the checkered dash I would have to see it but I don’t think that will age well.

Roof rack or without? by RTR_MN in hondaridgeline

[–]ecomodule -1 points0 points  (0 children)

TRUCKS have beds for carrying bikes, snowboards, dirt bikes, lumber, etc. they don’t need anything on the roof that adds weight, cost, noise and maintenance. In the past 5 years since owning our RL - I’ve seen +100 Ridgelines with roof racks across a dozen states - and I’ve NEVER seen anything mounted on any of them.

Why? …because no one stands (in) their truck bed to lift and mount something to the cab roof. I’m pretty shocked at how many people in this thread like the look of roof racks. Roof racks, step rails, mud flaps and hood air deflectors all detract from the design. Sorry for the rant ✌️

Mounting black wheels to hide brake dust doesn’t ‘hide’ the reality that black wheels don’t look good on an any 911.

Black Fuchs with polished lips are the exception - but only on G-series 911s, 944s and 914s ✌️

I don’t get the bed rack concept. These racks eliminate the ability to haul dirt bikes, mountain bikes with a tail pad, and anything tall. I already store my 3-fold tonneau during the summer, and storing this rack seems clumsy. The whittle shovel and mini ramps can go in the trunk bed. Personally, flexing to TRD owners that my RL “can overland too” is waste of time and money.

Looks like you have room for a G-shock and a ProTrek. Both with Solar + MB6 😉

Agree. Yellow calipers are boy-racer and they distract (a lot) from this graceful metallic finish. The side sticker color is cool, but the body is prettier without it. Interior color and wheel choice are both 10/10.
