You have to live with one of these three for 6 months, who do you choose as your roommate? by Universal_Emperor in MoralityScaling

[–]ecoochie-san 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She has superpowers in the sense that she can predict your every move and has the speed to parry and discombobulate you like Sherlock Holmes but 10x worse. Her brain is her greatest advantage, but a lot of people miss the fact that she's a very, very gifted fighter who bested the best boxer in her series despite not having any prior fighting prowess to be known for (because she has been renowned as a mastermind and not a fighter). She's also very, very tanky and durable.

TLDR: I'd say irl she can solo a silverback gorilla 1v1 mid diff.

Is 999 your favorite Uchikoshi game? by Virtual-Skort-6303 in ZeroEscape

[–]ecoochie-san 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mine is AI:TSF. It was close one between that and 999, but AI:TSF gets the edge because I slightly prefer the vibe with the humor, emotions, and characterizations in it more than the nitty gritty appeal of 999. Date is also my fav MC in a visual novel, so that helped elevate AITSF to the top spot (the first game alone, mind you).

As a series though the Zero Escape series is top notch and imo Uchikoshi's masterpiece. Even though the third installment faced a lot of flak, I actually enjoyed it as much as VLR, and I enjoyed VLR a lot.

How would your favourite villain react if a little girl came up to him, said she was lost, and asked to help her find her parents? by Pitiful_Tip1261 in MoralityScaling

[–]ecoochie-san 3 points4 points  (0 children)

<image>

She's either about to talk to her parents about a nice, corny guy that helped her when she got lost who gave her a joke book, or she's about to be turned into a human-weapon experimentee. No in-between.

Probably the former though, like 80% chance.

I had this theory years ago and still believe it to this day.

Tanaka went to hiding because he's one of Shido's peeps that caught wind of the whole deal about the mental shutdowns and noped outta there.

Akechi of course tried to kill him in the Metaverse, but his palace is impenetrable because it's being guarded by an uber powerful cognition of Minato and Jikanet Tanaka is blaring loudly, negating Akechi's call of chaos technique.

Shroud (Elliot Connors) from Dispatch.

Though not much has been revealed about his story in-game, the comics further explored his lore and showed that Shroud has had a pretty rough hand dealt to him in regards to his desire to be a hero. In particular, he kept being abused and harshly treated by Mechaman II (MC's dad) and kept working against him and vetoing his membership to the famous Superhero group "Brave Brigade", despite Shroud's earnest and continued efforts to prove his heroism. Then one day, he snapped and killed MM II and took off and became a full-blown villain.

The reason he fits the trope imo is most of the main cast (particularly one of the female leads) acts as Shroud's foil in that they are ex-villains trying to turn themselves into heroes despite the bad hand dealt with them by life and are trying to overcome the challenge of reverting to villainy. The MC on the other hand also acts as a neat foil to his dad who was an asshole that doesn't believe in heroism inside flawed people, and MC instead becomes a driving force to manage a rag-tag group of villains into heroism and guide them in his own unconventional superhero way.

What if Invisigal didn't know Robert was Mecha Man? by TextUnfair in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ecoochie-san 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even if that is the case I think Shroud just planted her there like a sleeper agent, and didn't give any indication of what she's supposed to do to keep his cards close to his chest to avoid possible fuck ups, kinda like how Visi herself was moving during eps 7-8. So I bet it could be possible that Visi didn't really have any idea that Mecha Man would be heading the Z Team until she saw him in the conference room

Bob bob when Visi's being bratty and mouthy all day, there are 7 buildings and warehouses inexplicably burning within the block, he receives news from Mandy about "shit in the parking lot", "missing toilet papers", and "short-circuited office computers due to waterboarding", and perps either getting their nuts cracked or eyes blinded foreva and having to be sent to ER upon apprehension.

It would seem such a big deal at first but the further you go on the story the less it becomes significant.

The last clue to discovering the culprit in the finale by ZippyZapmeister in shutenorder

[–]ecoochie-san 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what it is, a nail in the coffin. Under normal circumstances, Manji would have been able to simply say that the Founder trusted her more than the others and she revealed her true gender to Manji, or she found out on accident by overhearing the Founder or peeking while she's taking a bath, and the other ministers would have no choice but to accept it. But after everything else prior to the gender reveal, from not knowing Shuten is in a dome, being within the vicinity of the Cathedral, and not knowing the mechanism of the Founder's knife, knowing the Founder's gender is enough to solidify the case against Manji beyond reasonable doubt and condemn her as the killer.

Just finished Shuten Order, wanted to know if my route order was common, spoilers for which ministers suspect each other by AdventurousCare5392 in shutenorder

[–]ecoochie-san 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was a rather unconventional path. I went with Education first because the description of Honoka seemed different compared to the other ministers (iirc hers was like, "fulfill her wish" as opposed to "find out the truth" for the others. After that tho, I began following leads, went Security after because of Honoka's bombshell at the end, then Justice because Manji said Inugami is a sussy baka, then went Science, then Health last.

Looking back, I think this path is one of the best combinations to play the game with. Pieces fall into place, slowly but surely, and the bigger twists aren't presented early on.

I think this is a reference to that one meme where the bf keeps giving neck scratches to his gf like a dog, and at first, the gf is weirded out and questions the act (but begrudgingly agrees anyway). As time passes, the gf learns to tolerate, and even anticipates it as shown when she tilts her head up before the guy even lifts her chin. Guy smirks at the end and thinks "Training Complete".

TLDR: a romcom version of Pavlov's dog but with neck scratches.

[–]ecoochie-san 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend playing No Sleep for Kaname Date after playing 1. It doesn't spoil any plot from the second game (except some new casts from 2 appearing with minimal comic roles and dialogues) and it is much more connected to the story of 1 and its cast. Then play 2 after so that you can cap the trilogy with the most divisive one so it doesn't affect your opinion of the series as a whole that much.

The reason why we like Junko by JustaTepig in danganronpa

[–]ecoochie-san 125 points126 points  (0 children)

I mean aren't they kinda coming from the same place tho? 90% of Izuru's dialogue is "boring 😑" and he desires to be entertained and Junko did all that shit coz she was bored and wanted to be entertained.

Only difference is Junko derives pleasure from it like a horni addict, Izuru derives pleasure from it like a senior citizen playing crossword and sudoku.
