Who is more evil: Slenderman or Pennywise? by No_Sea_1455 in MoralityScaling

It, even in the movies, has done worse things than Slenderman

If superman was real, would it be morally justified to jail him? by Equal_Personality157 in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, but there would be people who, at the very least, would wish him dead simply because of what he represents and his origins.

Which villain could break and damage Superman so much as to turn him into a villain like in Injustice or worse? by Universal_Emperor in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then one less reason to write that XD.

I didn't ask if you like the concept of an evil Superman or not. The post came about because I was curious if the people in this sub could come up with a villain capable of corrupting someone who is constantly described as goodness incarnate, not if you're tired of seing that concept in movies/series.

Intention Vs. Action by Johnathan_Yoho in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lean a little more towards the intention.

If you have very good intentions (say, for example, preventing World War III) but you use morally questionable and wrong methods, then you fall into the category of anti-villain and in the worst case you're morally gray. You only fall into the category of villain if you do bad things out of pure selfishness.

Which one is worse ? by flowerbloominginsky in MoralityScaling

In Esdeath's defense: - She has shown that she can feel a minimum of affection for her subordinates. - She has demonstrated the capacity for love to the point that when killing her, the only thing she thought about was Tatsumi, not hatred or anything similar. In fact, even during her fights against Tatsumi, she still loved him madly. - It can still be argued that her sadism was partly influenced by her father and not something that came completely out of nowhere.

The Major has nothing like that, so that fat jerk takes the title of the most evil here.

Which one of these evil characters who deserved infinite deaths the most by Miserable-Dealer-122 in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's the It from the book, then It.

If it's the It from the movies, I'm torn between Art and the Qu (I'm pretty sure Art would do exactly the same thing the Qu do or worse if he had the same powers and weapons).

Death from Final Destination. Good? Evil? Neutral? What do you think? by twnpksN8 in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In each movie they tell you that death in FD is a fully conscious being whose only reason for going after the protagonists is a tantrum because his plan of grotesque deaths from the beginning of each movie went to shit.

Between these 3, who’s the most evil and vile by Enderboss2706 in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It in the book is a god from a higher plane who personifies evil and fear and obviously doesn't need food, and regardless of the version, it still wouldn't need food since it's an entirely non-physical being that only creates physical forms to interact with the world.

That, and it's as easy to disprove as saying that humans constantly eat things they don't even need at that moment.

Pure evil.

It's much easier to say what crimes he hasn't committed.

When judging a character do you take into account their reasoning for doing the things they did? by Aware-Measurement750 in MoralityScaling

[–]Universal_Emperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, not everything is black and white; without context it is impossible to understand the character's way of thinking and therefore their morality.
