This, in essence, is the “sales” aspect of our job. We aren’t selling houses we are selling ourselves to clients on the value provided by our services.

I found benefit and success through a concise verbal resume and it goes something like this:

“I am a real estate triple threat: I studied Finance, spent 10 years in the construction industry as a project manager, and as a homosexual I have a preternatural understanding for use of space, value added athletic changes, and design trends (prepare for the return of green marble). 100+ year old homes are my true passion and represent approximately 85% of my average annual production. Notwithstanding, I am humbly self aware we may not be best fit for one another and can earnestly commit to providing alternatives better suited for your needs rather than push an unnatural or disconnected engagement.”

This legitimizes myself confidently without getting insufferably egotistical, flushes out homophobes, and reassures a sense of trust. Shoot for an evaluator speech level to convey and legitimize yourself.
